RMCO Day 75 ~ Sunday, 23 August 2020

This morning hubs brought his Charlie's Angels to the Datuk Lee Chong Wei Sports Arena Sentosa to play badminton while I stayed home and burnt calories doing chores.  Hubs used to bring the girls to the park to play or to our condo's pool to swim and play water guns when they were younger.   And not forgetting the many trips to the indoor theme parks and kids' gyms where hubs would sacrifice the entire morning to have fun with them. He used to be the fun daddy who would play and be crazy with them. But when our pre-schoolers turned into tweens and then teens, these outings got fewer and then stopped as they no longer like theme parks and playgrounds. Plus daddy has always been super busy with work.   Fortunately there's something that the girls and their dad like to do together at the court now besides eating. Besides badminton, the girls like to play basketball, just like their dad who's a basketball fanatic. They sometimes follow hubs to the basketball indoor court to watch tournaments.

After badminton, we had lunch at Banh Mi Cafe, a new Vietnamese street food cafe at our neighborhood.

Pho with tender pork knuckles and beef, BBQ squids, grilled quail and lemongrass turmeric frog.

Beef Pho, rice noodles salad with BBQ chicken, shrimp spring rolls and pork banh mi.

The Vietnamese desserts knocked my socks off and well worth the calories!   I love every one of the unique dessert as they are all served with thick, luscious coconut milk while not being overly sweet.  Diet be damned!

What an epicurean street feast we've had that was to be our lunch and dinner. As usual, hubs ordered too much again and that filled us up the entire day.  Food was a delight and everyone enjoyed it.  Prices of all the dishes on the menu are reasonable and definitely a bang for your buck. We'll definitely be back again soon!

After lunch, we segued next door to another newly opened coffee place - ZUS Coffee and took advantage of the buy-1-free-1 coffee promotion.  I chose the pandan gula melaka coffee which hit all the right notes for me.

Today is just one of those days where I have nothing much to update in my blogs. Well there are some stuff on my mind but I do not wish to let the whole world know. So I'll just post a picture of Alan's Angels.

A Boy's Dream Fulfilled After 30+ Years

There was once a little boy who loved toy guns. He wanted very much to have a toy machine gun that could emit sounds but his mummy would say NO to his requests each time he begged for the toy. He could only play his friend's toy guns but they were not his. He wanted very badly to have his own big big toy gun.

30 over years on, he finally fulfilled his childhood dream. He bought the toy gun that he dreamed of every night when he was a little boy. And his daughters loved his toy gun too. He is now a very contented man. A very happy daddy who always fulfills his 3 princesses' wish, whims and fancies.

The big boy playing with his toy gun...

But he is very generous with it and shared it with his 3 princesses...

Tempting Baby C With A Fruit

The other day, daddy tempted baby with a slice of pear.... but won't let her eat it. We used to do that to Alycia and Sherilyn too when they were babies and we just loved seeing them go crazy over the fruit. Alycia, who was the greediest amongst our 3 babies was so funny when we tempted her with a piece of pear when she was about 9 months. She was so geram and wanted the pear so much that her body turned stiff from all the screaming and drooling.... and she clenched her fists hard in frustration, hahaha... see how evil we were! We have that scene captured on camcorder and whenever we watch it, all of us will have a real good laugh.

Here baby, come and get the pear.....

Daddy letting baby lick on the pear....

...and she wanted more.... and crawled down to grab the pear.

Daddy's Written Agreement To Bring Alycia Swimming... Part II

That's the picture of the hand written agreement - written by Alycia and signed by daddy. It was daddy's idea to sign on the agreement as Alycia has been badgering him to bring her swimming ever since we moved to our new condo on Friday last week.

Daddy's signature - circled.

Doesn't Alycia look like she's one of those complainants at Michael Chong's office? LOL!

Daddy's Written Agreement To Bring His Princesses Swimming... Part I

That was taken on the day we moved into our new condo. Our unit faces the swimming pool and the gals' room has a very good view of the pool... and the gals absolutely adore their room. They think it's a hotel and they spend almost the whole day in their room and at the kitchen looking down at the pool. They have been bugging daddy to bring them swimming but it's just not possible as we were all (and still are) extremely busy with the move and unpacking.

When daddy was unpacking the gals' clothes and arranging them into their new closet, Sherilyn quickly fished out one of her old bikinis and insisted to put her bra (that's what she calls it lol!) on.... then ran round the house pretending to snap pictures!

Last night, daddy finally promised to bring Alycia and Sher swimming today. He even signed on an agreement hand-written by Alycia that he will bring her swimming today. As I am typing this, daddy has now brought them swimming. Shall post picture of the agreement soon!

Quality Time With Daddy

When Alycia wanted to watch the VCD on Elf Bowling The Movie in my room, Sherilyn who tends to get scared watching this cartoon, ran to her room (which is adjoining to our room) and covered herself with a blanket. She refused to come to our room. Daddy then went to her rescue and read to her from the Leap Frog pad. The gals always wish that daddy would be at home earlier more to spend quality time with them.

For Once

For once, hubby has just volunteered to babysit the gals without any complaints whilst I went downstairs to work on my computer. He will normally be watching TV and will complain when I ask him to put the gals to sleep. But just now, he was happily showing the gals the video that he shot at Alycia's 4th birthday party on Sunday. Now he is in the room sleeping with the gals. If only he could be this helpful and nice everyday.

It's Not The Toothbrush, She Wants Daddy!

One morning last week, as usual Alycia refused to brush her teeth before going to school. Daddy didn't like the idea of Alycia going to school with a stinky mouth and insisted that she brushed her teeth. So he brushed Alycia's teeth and Alycia was grinning from cheek to cheek and didn't puke. It was indeed a rare occasion that daddy brushed her teeth and she was very happy. Now I know that maybe it wasn't the toothbrush after all that made her puke every morning. Maybe all she wanted was just some attention.

Daddy's The Best Playmate!

Know why the gals love daddy more than mummy? That's because daddy spoils them rotten, their wishes are always daddy's command and daddy plays with them almost every night - hide and seek and camping!

It's daddy's bright idea to place this bedsheet over the baby cot, so it looks like a makeshift tent!

And it's daddy's idea that we play pretend cooking in our tent.

Sherilyn's Too Spoilt!

We were at Bangsar Village for lunch 2 Thursdays ago. After lunch, daddy brought the gals to New Zealand Ice Cream and bought them each an ice cream on a cone. Alycia chosed vanilla and Sherilyn chosed raspberry. Thereafter we went to shop for groceries at the supermarket and the gals were still licking their ice creams. When we were at the check out counter, Sherilyn dropped her ice cream cone on the floor. Goodness, her reflex action was at the speed of lightning. The moment the cone and ice cream landed on the floor, she burst out waaaaailing out loud as she covered her cheek with her right palm - exactly like a drama queen crying, complete with pathetic actions. She was truly very upset that her favorite ice cream was no longer in her hand. For once, I felt so sorry for her and I just knew that the only way to subdue her is to get her another ice cream. After I had cleaned up the mess on the floor, daddy brought her upstairs to get her another ice cream on the cone - a strawberry flavored ice cream this time. I told daddy that he has really spoilt the girls rotten. If it was a McD ice cream, I wouldn't have felt the pinch but a scoop of that ice cream cost more than RM5 .... and Daddy and the girls had a total of 4 scoops in a day!

Sherilyn all smiles again with a brand new ice cream on a cone.

Yuuuuuum Sssssseng

This picture was taken yesterday evening. Sherilyn had high fever and I had to put on a Cool Fever patch on her forehead. She hates this cold patch and cried when I stuck it to her forehead but after some coaxing from daddy and me, she accepted the patch and refused to take it off. She also refused to drink water so daddy had to coax her again. Tried all sorts of methods and in the end, the 'cheers' and 'yuuuuum ssssseng' did the trick - she happily finished her mug of water.

Hide and Seek With Daddy

Alycia and Sherilyn LOVE playing hide-and-seek with daddy. Every night they would wait for daddy to return so that they can play hide-and-seek with him. Daddy would hide behind the curtains, under the comforter, inside the closet and inside the bathroom. As they count 1 through 10, daddy would hurriedly dash from the gals' room to our room to hide. It's so nice seeing the girls squeal in excitement and suspense as they search for daddy. This is a picture of daddy playing hide-and-seek with his 2 princesses.

Balloons, Party Whistles and Confetti

I've mentioned before that my hubby will do anything or buy anything that his 2 princesses command for. Several days ago as hubby was about to leave the house for his office in the morning, the gals wanted his attention and started to act up. So daddy promised them that he would buy them balloons (the long ones like sausages as the gals specifically ordered). Later in the evening, I thought the gals would forget about daddy's promise, afterall it was just another empty promise to subdue them but boy was I wrong. The gals kept mentioning about it the whole day. Daddy kept his promise. Not only did he buy sausage-shaped balloons, he also bought a packet of party whistles and a can of party strings/confetti. To me, they are a waste of money but to daddy, it's his way of showing his love to his 2 princesses.

Daddy inflating the balloons with a pump.

Daddy even mastered the skill of shaping and twisting the balloons into animals from the clowns at the hotels that we normally patronize.

The gals happily blowing the party whistles whilst daddy was trying to amuse them with the can of confetti.

Sherilyn's First Whip From Daddy

For the first time, Sherilyn got whipped from daddy yesterday. It was almost dinner time and daddy came home early yesterday and was lying on the floor in the hall to get some rest. Sherilyn was playing and started to throw her toys everywhere. When daddy scolded her and told her to stop throwing the toys, as usual, she tried to turn deaf and continued with her toys throwing spree until a 'flying saucer' which was an Ikea plastic plate landed on daddy's mouth and cut daddy's inner lip. He bled quite a bit and was in pain and he was furious. When daddy showed the bloody lip to Sherilyn, she was scared....scared because the usual fun-loving and forgiving daddy looked very furious and in pain. This is how frightened and worried Sherilyn looked.

Daddy then came to her and said this :

Daddy - Kay Yi, say sorry to daddy...

Sher - shorry.

Daddy - Kay Yi, which hand did you use to throw the toy at daddy? Look at daddy's lip.... it's bleeding. Daddy got to punish you now. I will beat your hand 3 times.

Sherilyn then forwarded her right hand and daddy hit her hand lightly one time. As he was about to hit the hand the second time...

Sher - My hand got shaliva......

and she retracted her hand. I was controlling hard not to laugh at the silly excuse given by Sherilyn. What kind of excuse is that, saliva on her hand!

Daddy - give me your hand Kay Yi.....

but she struggled to stay her hand away from daddy like this....

Finally when daddy wanted to pull her hand out....

Sher - ENOUGH daddy.....

I laughed hard but pursed my lips tightly to contain the laughter coz Sherilyn sounded so cute when she blurted out 'enough daddy' in her babyish voice. Daddy too wanted to laugh but tried really hard to suppress his laughter.

Anyway, daddy gave her another light whip on her hand and then we all proceeded to have dinner.

For 15 minutes during dinner, Sher just stared blankly at daddy observing closely his expression and perhaps trying real hard to figure out how to cheer daddy up. She was chewing her food but not swallowing them.... just staring at daddy.

Daddy - swallow your food Kay Yi.

Sher continued to stare at daddy with a guilt-stricken expression on her face.

Daddy - open your mouth Kay Yi...

Sherilyn then opened her mouth wide and said "NOTHING... heheheheh....."

Daddy, Alycia, my maid and I burst out laughing out really hard till our belly hurt and of course, Sherilyn was laughing away as if to tell us " I won again. See... i am smart"

After dinner, just as daddy was about to leave the house to watch a basketball match, Sherilyn shouted across the hall to daddy...

Sher - daddy, kiss you......

Daddy's heart melted. He walked over to Sherilyn and let her kiss him on his cheek.

Sherilyn really knows how to melt the coldest of heart and douse off a fire raging an angry heart. She's really manipulative and witty. Really, you tell me, how to get angry with her leh.

Anything For You My Princess

Alycia always imagines she is a princess. For the past 1 week, Alycia has been demanding that daddy carries her off her bed in the mornings and then carries her downstairs like a princess. Last night when daddy was tucking her to bed she said "daddy tomorrow you carry me downstairs, k" and this morning, daddy waited for Alycia to wake up before he went to his office, carried her off the bed and gave her a morning peck on her cheeks before carrying her like a princess downstairs for breakfast. Wah... this daddy is ever ready to accomodate all the "your wishes are my command" from his 2 princesses. I wonder if my wish is his command too....

Before Alycia and Sherilyn Came Along...

Before Alycia and Sherilyn came along, daddy would sometimes carry mummy to the bed like a white knight sweeping his princess off her feet. After the both of you came along, daddy complains of backache to mummy all the time but the pain seems to have miraculously vanished when you both asked to be carried.

Before Alycia and Sherilyn came along, daddy would caringly wear socks for mummy when she had the sniffles. Now that daddy has you 2 darlings, he would obligingly wear socks for his 2 princesses no matter how busy or tired he may be. As for mummy? She knows how to wear the socks herself mah.

Before Alycia and Sherilyn came along, daddy would always lovingly help get mummy some food when they have meals together. Now that he has 2 beautiful princesses, he'd rather be feeding them. Mummy leh? Aiyah... no need to eat so much wan, eat less is good.

Before Alycia and Sherilyn came along, Daddy and Mummy enjoy sharing their desserts together and they can peacefully take their own sweet time to savour every spoonful. Eversince you both came along, daddy prefers to share his dessert with his 2 princesses, though most of the time, he ends up having none.

Before Alycia and Sherilyn came along, daddy and mummy would always have a beautiful couple snapshot together when it's our birthdays. Now that you both are here, mummy is always the cameraman and no where to be seen in pictures.

So is mummy still happy now that she has you both? The answer is a resounding YES, absolutely no regrets and no, mummy is not jealous. Alycia and Sherilyn, when you both read this post a few years down the road, you will know how much your daddy and mummy love you.

New toy

This is the new toy that DH secretly bought his 2 angels from Mid Valley Megamall yesterday... a school bus tent. Well, I shall see how long this new toy can sustain the gals' interest before being chucked into the storeroom if it is lucky enough to remain intact or being ripped apart into pieces.

Hello mummy... I love this yellow school bus.... "the wheels on the bus goes round and round, round and round, round and round..."

Taking turns to play bus driver and school children. This bus even comes with an inflatable steering wheel that's attachable to the tent.
The driver on the bus goes honk honk honk, all through the hall.
