How to Commemorate a Girl’s Birthday Ever Year

When you know that there is going to be a little girl born into the world, you want to think about how to commemorate not only her birth but every birthday thereafter. Disney birthday figurines can be used in fun ways to accomplish this.



Choose a Theme
You can choose a theme for the gift that you’re going to give her. For example, with Disney birthday figurines, you can give her a different princess every year. The year that she’s turning can even be included on the figurine. This way, she’ll get one each year that has the year so she knows when she got each one. By the time she reaches 10 or 12, she can have a full collection.



Give a New Figure Every Year
When you have a theme, it will be exciting to add a new figurine every year. Once she identifies what the theme is, such as Disney princesses, she’ll be wondering what the next one will be. Plus, you can make sure that you always know what to get her because you will want to maintain tradition with new figurines.



Make the Presentation Special
The presentation should be extra special. Be sure that you have her display what you have given her. It may be a good idea to get a shelf specifically for the figurines. Then, make a big deal by giving her the figurine and letting her add it to where all of the others are from years past.

By keeping the theme year after year, the special girl in your life will look forward to every birthday to see what you’re going to give her next. It will be something that she can enjoy for years and, potentially, pass down to future generations.

My mil bought this cute Disney Thumbelina pen for the girls in Hong Kong recently. Nice hor? How lucky are my girls. I rarely had these luxuries when I was a kid. My girls have been receiving so many cute, pretty and awesome gifts all the time from their aunts and grandparents ever since they were born. Lucky them and I hope that they will always be blessed with many people showering them with love and gifts always.

You'll be amazed to see their collection of stickers. The stickers that I had collected all my life as a young girl are no where near their collection. I would have gone crazy over these stickers 20-30 years ago, though I have to admit that I still love stickers :S

My Girls Are Really Lucky

Alycia and Sherilyn are really lucky girls, a hundred times luckier than me when I was young. Not only are they loved dearly by daddy and mummy, they have doting grandparents and aunts who constantly shower them with gifts. See these hair accessories? My sil bought them for Sherilyn in Hong Kong Disneyland recently as my princess wannabe is obsessed with hair accessories. These hair accessories from Hong Kong Disneyland ain’t cheap but this did not stop my generous sil from splurging on them for my princess wannabe. I wished I had such a generous koo mar too who would buy me almost everything that I desire, including a commercial real estate!

Disney Princess Pasta

Sherilyn my noodles and pasta lover will go crazy if she sees a bowl of Princess pasta on the dining table waiting for her for lunch. My sil bought this packet of Princess pasta for her from Hong Kong.

Tell me which Princess wannabe wouldn't go crazy over the pasta?

Disney Pencil Box

My sil bought a Disney pencil box but she only bought one... and it is an expensive one. So there was a tug-of-war over the pencil case and I said that it should go to Alycia as she's going to Standard 1 first. Luckily Sherilyn did not kick up a big fuss... as there were other pressies to distract her. Sher was really tickled pink with some cute Disney hankies compressed into a heart shape, which would 'open' up once soaked in water.



The stylo-mylo pencil case has 4 buttons on the left for different functions.... one is for a built-in sharpener, one for an eraser compartment and another 2 for dunno what...

Lovely Gifts From Koo Mah

The gals received yet another big box of surprise from koo mah from Hong Kong 2 days ago. When the box was opened, they were tickled pink to see a box full of gifts from Hong Kong Disneyland and Japan Disneyland. One of the items that was really unique and caught their eyes was a pen for them each with the head of Minnie Mouse on the top. At the press of a knob behind the pen, Minnie Mouse's body would pop down. Check out my other blog to see what other goodies koo mah bought for the gals.

Lovely Disney Cookies

When my mil came back from Hong Kong last month, she brought back several tins of cookies from Hong Kong Disneyland. The tins are really very attractive with colorful and cute pictures of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends.




Even the cookies have prints of Mickey head on them and they taste good too. Not only do my gals love the cookies, even I love them!

Cute Disney Trinkets

These are some of the cute and funky trinkets and hair accessories from Hong Kong Disneyland which koo mah bought for the gals recently. Alycia and Sherilyn are really lucky that they have koo mahs who dote on them and pamper them with lovely trinkets, clothes, accessories and biscuits from overseas (Hong Kong and New Zealand) all the time.

X'mas Pressies

We received a huge parcel from Hong Kong several days ago. When I ripped open the box, the gals were so happy to see X'mas pressies for them from koo mah. They received some coloring books, a Happy Feet UNO cards and a beautiful octagon shaped box containing strawberry flavored cookies from HK Disneyland.



The glee and excitement were all shown on Alycia's face when she saw the coloring and activity books.


There was also a pretty pink Harrods bag.

More Souvenirs

These Disney and Hello Kitty souvenirs for Alycia and Sherilyn were from sil. She got the pink Minnie Mouse bag and Hello Kitty & My Melody hankies when she went to Japan for a vacation recently. I think the hankies are too pretty and delicate to be used. The colors will surely fade and the cloth will surely fray after a few spins in the washing machine. I think I'll just let them remain as keepsakes.

New Disney Tumbler

During her last trip back to KL, my sil from HK had bought only one Disney Minnie Mouse water tumbler and since Sherilyn saw it first, she managed to grab the tumbler. During the most recent trip back, my sil bought another Disney water tumbler and this time it's a Mickey Mouse for Alycia. The gals are really lucky to have aunties in HK and other countries. They get the most gifts when their aunties visit them.

Organic yoghurt bars, crackers, biscuits and chocolates

These are some of the Disney souvenirs and organic goodies that sil#1 bought from Hong Kong for the gals. There were also bars of Whittaker's Almond Gold chocolate which is my favorite - a chocolate filled with generous chunks of roasted almonds. There goes my diet plan - flying off the window with sooooo much good food, chocolates, mooncakes, dinner in restaurants and of course durians!

Magic Disney Towel

What do you think this is? Does it look like a cookie or a notepad? No, this is a magic Disney cotton towel which SIL bought from Hong Kong. When I saw it the first time, I'd thought it was a cookie or notepad.


To 'open up' the towel, the towel is to be soaked in water for a few seconds.


When it's fully soaked in water, the towel opens up easily, like the petals of a flower blooming.

The person who came up with this idea is really ingenious and creative. What a cool souvenier this is.

Chip n Dale Purse

My SIL bought Alycia and Sherilyn 2 identical Chin N Dale purses from Hong Kong Disneyland recently but the gals are still fighting over the purses every single day. When one of them looses the purse and can't find it, the fight begins over the other remaining purse. The fight got out of hand a couple of days ago with a tug of war over the remaining purse and Miss Pukey Sherilyn ended up crying until she puked. My maid and I had to search high and low for the lost purse in the house. When it was finally found under her pillow (she had brought it to sleep), I had to write their names on the purses and warned them that nobody gets to take each other's purse again. There has been no more fights over the purses since.
