Colorful Blu Tack

Cass has an obsession with Blu Tack and play dough. I guess this is partly because I do not encourage my girls to play with these at home as they are too messy -- mess on the table, on the floor, on the walls and the worse part is these sticky stuff will get stuck underneath their finger nails or get stuck like chewing gum on their hair, blah!  And I have absolutely no time to dig those sticky dough out from under their finger nails before meal times.  So my girls secretly kept the play dough that they got from Sunday School aeons ago and would steal some of my Blu Tack which I bought some time back.  At times, Cass would pinch some dough from mah mah's cake mixing bowl when she prepares dough for bread making and would play with the flour dough for hours till the white doughs turn into greyish black dough, eeeewwwwwww!

When I saw Blu Tack Colour at Ace Hardware shop recently, I bought a pack and am now using this as rewards for Cass.  She can be quite rebellious and disobedient at times.  So this colorful Blu Tack comes in handy.  Cass gets a small piece on days that she earns her 'Blu Tack points' !

Blu Tack Color is a much better alternative to  play dough as it is not as sticky and does not disintegrate as easily as play dough does.

RM4.99 shop in Viva Home Mall

For those of you die-hard fans of Angry Birds or have kids who have been swept away by Angry Birds, do check out this RM4.99 shop in Viva Home mall @ Jalan Loke Yew. But sorry, I cannot remember the name of the shop. It was pretty late that night when we stepped into the mall. We had to hurriedly shop and pay as the workers were already pulling down the door shutters. So I did not really take notice of the name of the shop. It has the same concept like Daiso and 100 Yen Shop and sells almost the same stuff. There are even good quality and nice belts and hats. We spent quite a bit from this shop.

Angry Birds merchandise aplenty...

Was so tempted to grab an Angry Bird clock but I know that it will surely be kept in one of my drawers once it reaches our home.

McDonald's Happy Meal Toy - Sanrio My Melody

Alycia followed daddy to a staff's wedding last week. It was a Malay wedding. She didn't eat much as most of the food was spicy. After the wedding reception, daddy brought Alycia to McDonald's. He bought 2 sets of Happy Meal and got this very cute original My Melody rubber stamp. I think I was just as excited as the girls when I saw the My Melody rubber stamps as I used to be a My Melody fan when I was young. Well, I still love My Melody up until now!

Pilot's Creoroll Mess-Free Crayons

My generous sil from Hong Kong sent another big box of goodies to us last week. In the box was what Alycia had been persuading me to buy for her - mess-free crayons encased in plastic holders that can be rolled up and down. I saw them at a stationery shop in Gardens Mid Valley but didn't buy it for her as it was way too expensive. Moreover the girls have too many crayons at home, so many that I can find them at every nook and corner and often, they were thrown away.

The awesome Pilot Creoroll Mess-Free crayons in 8 smashing colors...

The mess-free crayons are perfect for toddlers as their tiny hands will not get dirty. There is very little falling crayon dust as compared to conventional crayons...

Free White Board From Scotts Emulsion

The girls were super delighted when the mini market owner gave us 2 white boards when we purchased 2 bottles of orange flavored Scotts Emulsion. This free gift that comes with the Scotts Emulsion is every kid's favorite toy. Which kid doesn't like to doodle and draw with a marker pen right? The marken pen ink is also easily wiped off with paper or water. 2 weeks later, we bought another 2 bottles of Scotts Emulsion. Now we have 4 white boards at home and the girls don't have to fight for the white board anymore. Each of them have their very own white board and marker pen. This reminds me that I should get another 2 more bottles of Scotts Emulsion tonight. My 3 girls have been consuming Scotts Emulsion since they were 1 year old.

Guess What They Are Eating?

Just make a wild guess what Alycia and Baby are eating?

See how well Baby can hold this bowl and not spill any of the contents from the bowl!

Tadaaaaa...... it's a bowl of Udon soup with veggie, beef slices and tempura. And best of all, this is a coin box! It's a fake bowl of noodles, muahahahahaha, gotcha!!

Check out my online store for some trendy new arrivals! Have a great Sunday everyone.

Disney Face Mask

My mil bought a few packs of Disney face (made by Kimberly-Clark) mask from Hong Kong recently. They cost HKD15 for a pack of three masks for kids. They look really cute but kind of expensive. How to have the heart to throw it away after a single use?

In Love With Stickers

When Baby was hospitalized after her surgeries in May this year, Michelle came to visit us and gave her some presents. One of the presents was a sticker book with 100 over colorful fairy stickers. Baby liked that sticker book instantly. 3.5 months later today, Baby still likes this book pretty much and she can sit inside her playpen for at least half an hour flipping through the sticker book, now with a few pages torn off. She would then pick the stickers that she likes, peel them off the book and stick them on her hands, clothes and face!

And when her 2 jie jies snatch the sticker book from her, she will scream murder!

Amazing Toy Fish That Can Grow Everyday

If your kids are constantly bugging you to get them some fish as pet but you find keeping fish as pet too troublesome, now you can buy them a toy fish that can really grow in water!

My visiting sil from Saipan bought Alycia and Sherilyn each a toy fish that can grow in water, up to 600% of its original size! Here are the 2 fish - one is a black and white shark and the other is an orange colored fish.

Day 1...

Day 2....

Several days later.....

The black and white shark outgrew the mineral water bottle and I haven't had the time to remove it from that bottle to place it in a bigger container, just to see if it can expand to 600% its original size. The growth of the orange fish got stunted and it just stopped growing at that size. Well, it did expand horizontally but not vertically! Maybe it will just grow into a big obese fish instead of grow longer hahaha!

Do you have any idea how the fish is to be removed from the bottle? Not by cutting up the bottle, which I had originally thought so. Just pour away the water and the fish will shrink! Amazing toy eh? My sil bought them from Mid Valley Megamall.

My sil also bought these goodies when she was in Japan recently....

I love that Hokkaido potato crisps (on the right). Even a health freak like me who does not eat potatoes can't help gorging on these sinful crisps that taste so good and addictive, a packet a day - shared with Aly and Sher. I find the orange flavored KitKat and that cute bunny biscuits with cream filling too sweet though.

Another Bib

We were at Babyland PJ last week to get Baby a 3-in-1 cup (sippy cup, cup with teat and cup with straw) and then I strayed again and got another bib with food catcher to add into my collection of bibs hehe.

I got this bib coz I liked the colors too much...

Here's how the bib will look like when it's buttoned up. Sher used to have a bib like this too with another motif and it lasted her more than 2 years.

Disney Pencil Box

My sil bought a Disney pencil box but she only bought one... and it is an expensive one. So there was a tug-of-war over the pencil case and I said that it should go to Alycia as she's going to Standard 1 first. Luckily Sherilyn did not kick up a big fuss... as there were other pressies to distract her. Sher was really tickled pink with some cute Disney hankies compressed into a heart shape, which would 'open' up once soaked in water.

The stylo-mylo pencil case has 4 buttons on the left for different functions.... one is for a built-in sharpener, one for an eraser compartment and another 2 for dunno what...

The pencil case can be opened on both sides...

Water Tumblers Again

I bought water tumblers again. Believe it or not, ever since Alycia and Sherilyn could drink from a water tumbler, I have bought over 20 water tumblers for them. That's because most of the tumblers (9 out of 10 of them) would leak no matter how tight I screw the cap. The worst are the ones with straws.

Of all the brands that I have tried, I like Rubbermaid (the non-straw ones) and BROS best as the cap can be screwed tightly, which prevents water from leaking out.

The Disney Pooh Bear tumbler is for Alycia and the BROS animal cartoon one is for Sherilyn. These tumblers don't leak, can be used to store both cold and hot water, are not breakable and they are not very expensive. The Pooh Bear one only cost RM17.90 and the BROS one cost RM11.90.

I also got 2 Rubbermaid Chug bottles for myself. The one of the left can be used to put both cold and hot water. It's a buy 1 get 1 free pack and only cost RM15.90. I bought them all from Jaya Jusco.

My Obsession With Plastic Bibs

I added 1 more plastic bib to Alycia and Sher's collection of plastic bibs. I was at Mothercare on Monday and when I saw the new arrivals, I bought one more - a red ladybug bib, which cost RM22.

This blue bib, also from Mothercare is not even used yet and I bought another. I also nearly bought a Combi bib from Mothercare but on second thoughts, dropped the idea as it cost a whopping RM49! I would have bought it without batting my eyelids if I were still employed. Times are tough and I have 3 kids now.... must always remember my frugal living plan!

New Gizmo

Alycia and Sherilyn are still very much in love with their new gizmo, i.e. their new battery-operated toothbrush and they have never been so enthusiastic and happy with brushing their teeth than now. Even Sherilyn who never liked her teeth being brushed with a toothbrush is keen to brush her teeth herself with this cool vibrating gadget. I'm happy that I've finally found something that can motivate them to brush their teeth without any hassle, fuss, bribes or threats. As for me, I still prefer my good old conventional toothbrush as I feel it can do a better job than a high-tech gizmo! Call me archaic or out-of-date!

New Crocs

These are the original Crocs that my sil bought the gals from Hong Kong. I think I like them more than my gals. Have a look at the Disney characters accessories for the Crocs, they look so cute and cool on the Crocs. For me, I don't think I'd buy originals as they are so costly. I'll most likely buy the RM8.99 ones from Giant or Tesco, haha.

Combi Bib

This is the Combi bib that I got Sherilyn from Toys City, 1U. It cost me RM50, before a 20% discount. It's expensive but I feel it's well worth the investment coz Sher's a real messy eater and with a good food-catcher bib, it saves me all the trouble cleaning up the food that she drops or spits out.

The rubbery bib is detachable, foldable (good for outings) and is adjustable to 3 heights, depending on the size of the toddler.

Cool Gadget For Babies And Adults

My sil recently got a cool gadget for the gals from Hong Kong, but mummy and daddy can also use it. It's a anti-mosquito device, specially designed for babies. The device operates by emitting ultrasounds within a range of 3 metres which annoy mosquitoes without causing any undesired effect to people or animals. It operates on batteries with an average useful life of approximately 100 hours. This gadget is so small that you can fasten it to your clothes, babies' strollers, planpen, just on anything. Cool or not?

Goodies From Hong Kong Again

Organic biscuits from HK for the gals.

Books, stickers and finger paints all from HK.

My SIL no. 2 arrived from HK yesterday and brought with her a big bag of goodies for the gals again. Each time my SILs from overseas visit us, my gals will benefit the most coz they have 4 doting ku mahs and ku cheh who adore them to bits and love pampering them with food, toys, books and branded clothes.

The clothes that my sils normally buy for the gals are all branded stuff and cost way more than my own clothes, like Polo Ralf Lauren and Zara Kids, fuiyoh. How I envy my gals. In a way, I am lucky too coz I rarely ever have to buy my gals clothes, food, toys and books. All these items are being taken care of by my sils, mil and my dear mom. That's a lot of savings here. I am not gloating here but I just feel thankful to God that my gals are so loved by everyone. So to my sils and mom, if you are reading this post, I'd like to say thank you so much for being a caring and generous sil and mom. The gals and I are blessed.
