MCO Day 79 ~ Thursday, 4 June 2020

Today is the first time in over 3 months that Cass step foot into a mall.  It's her bi-annual eye check-up at ISEC International Specialist Eye Center @ Mid Valley.  Just a quick recap, Cass was found to have mild Lazy Eye exactly a year ago during an unplanned eye checkup at our neighborhood optician. The sharp increase in power was only on her right eye and the optician urged me to bring Cass to an optometrist / ophthalmologist for a diagnosis and treatment, which was then confirmed that she has mild Lazy Eye. I brought her to ISEC to see Dr Choong YF as he's the ophthalmologist who performed a Chalazion surgery on Cass' eye when she was almost 2 years old.  To curb the power on the right eye from shooting up rapidly, Dr Choong prescribed Myopine eye drop - Cass needs to put one drop on the right eye every night before bedtime for years, with a review on her eyes bi-annually.  A bottle of 5ml Myopine costs a whopping RM95 and this can only last 6 weeks! I can't get this eye drop from any other pharmacy except from ISEC.

With an overload of screen time for over two months throughout the MCO and most times, this girl forgets to wear her glasses until I realize it and nag her, I was beyond belief that there is NO increase in power on both Cass' eyes. Praise God!  The expensive Myopine eye drop is working and credit needs to be given to Super Lutein as well.  Since the start of the Coronavirus outbreak, Cass has been popping 2 Super Lutein daily.  She's more worried of being infected by Covid19 than I am, and has been secretly popping an extra Super Lutein everyday to safeguard her health until she told me recently. Super Lutein is a supplement for eyes and an antioxidant for our general health.  We've been consuming Super Lutein and Izumio for 5 years now.

The Covid19 SOP at Mid Valley City are pretty impressive.  At the escalator entrance of Centrepoint South for ISEC patients, temperature was taken, bar code scanned and I had to fill out a detailed online declaration form for Cass and myself for submission before we were allowed to go up the escalator and then take the elevator to ISEC.

All these are necessary for easy contact tracing, should the need arise.

After Cass' appointment at ISEC, we segued into Mid Valley Megamall. This time we were scanned by a Face Recognition Thermometry Terminal, which looks like a tablet / mobile phone.  Bar code was again scanned with an app on my phone and details filled out before we were allowed into the mall.

Cass scanned by the Face Recognition Thermometry Terminal:

The bar code scanning on my phone, filling out of online form, temperature taking and hands sanitizing SOP are now compulsory at each individual shop inside the mall, which is applaudable but this repels me from entering a shop as it's too time consuming. Hubs who's in a hurry to go back to his shop waited for us at AK Noodles House @ Gardens Mall for lunch.

While we waited for hubs to arrive at the mall to join us for lunch and fetch us home, Cass dragged me to her most favorite place on the earth - the book store! We walked to MPH, which is the nearest book store on the floor that we were on and Cass quickly chose her latest favorite series - novels by Karen M. McManus and she bought two books by this author. She's a very very happy camper today!

Stomach Flu

On the day we returned to KL from Ipoh, which was the 4th day of CNY, Cass wasn't her usual chirpy self throughout the train ride. I thought it's because we all had to wake up at 5:45 a.m. to get ready to catch the 7:25 a.m. ETS and she was just tired. We hadn't had enough sleep throughout the CNY holidays as we had to wake up early almost everyday. When we got back to KL, she had chills and felt malaise. When we went to our usual shop for lunch, Cass who usually has a ravenous appetite, had zilch appetite. The only food she could put into her mouth was an organic apple, half a glass of fresh apple + orange juice and two small pieces of steamed free-range chicken sans the dressing of oil and sauce. Cass purged many times that day and had abdominal cramps. She must have caught some  bugs from one of the many lavish meals that we had in Ipoh or it could be her innards just weren't used to processing so much fattening food for 4 days straight. You know the kind of feast that we Chinese have during CNY, along with cookies, dried meat, Mandarin oranges and waxed meat.

By the time we got home from lunch, she was running a temperature of 39.1C. I gave her a luke-warm shower, a packet of Izumio with two capsules of Super Lutein before she took a nap. Dinner for her was another organic apple, four pieces of cream crackers with strawberry jam and another packet of Izumio. I gave her a suppository before she went to sleep that night. Thank God the next morning she was fine and dandy again. But she still had mild stomach cramps and purging throughout the day. Slowly but surely her appetite returned.  She recovered just on time to return to school on Wednesday (6th day of CNY).  She still had mild tummy pain on Wednesday morning but she was steadfast that she wanted to go to school. I applied peppermint essential oil on her tummy (which almost always gives her a pain relief) and gave her a bottle to bring to school.

For dinner, I cooked a big pot of roast pork bone porridge with organic pumpkin and carrot and sauteed Chinese mustard greens with shimeiji mushrooms and egg.

So glad to see Cass regaining her appetite and chomping down the bowl of porridge.

Our Labor Day - 1 May 2017

We had 2 hours of badminton at Sports Arena Sentosa (previously known as Lee Chong Wei Sports Arena) with our usual group of buddies in the morning. It was good to indulge in 2 hours of sports to sweat out the toxins from our body. Cass and Alycia have an overflow of stamina and they didn't seem to get fatigued though they played intensely continuously for almost 2 hours. When it was time to go, Cass was very reluctant to leave. She still wanted to play. It must be the Izumio giving them the  bountiful of energy!  Drama Queen was down with a bout of tummy ache and felt nauseous. She just sat at the bench watching us play, trying hard to stifle a puke and pressing on her tummy.   After giving her half a packet of Izumio, followed by her purging in the loo, she was A-OK already and could play a few rounds of badminton with her friends 👍💪

After a good 2-hour sweat out session, we had quite a feast at our favorite 'tai chau' restaurant, Seng Kee Kitchen.  We ordered plates after plates of glorious melt-in-the-mouth 'char siew' and 'siew yoke' with crackling skin, which are one of the best in the world, I kid you not.  There goes our 2 hours of hard work; we piled up on the calories again, immediately. 😕

While the hubs continued with a 'yum cha' session with his friends at a cafe, I went home with the girls as Alycia had tennis lesson.  Cass had tuition and still has a Math paper to sit for tomorrow and Alycia's first term exam begins on Wednesday. Drama Queen's friends came over to play table tennis and practise sprinting for their school's sports day running events. The girls are taking their exams really lightly this time. Hopefully they'll still score well.

Stop Dependence On Medication

Elderly folk usually have a flurry of daily pills to consume for their lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc. I had elevated cholesterol reading last year at 6.4. With an altered diet, clean eating as much as possible, exercise 5x a week and consuming Izumio and Super Lutein consistently every day, my cholesterol reading went down from 6.4 to 5.8 to 4.9 within a 11-month period.

Did you know that Izumio and Super Lutein neutralise free radicals in the body and strengthen the immune system so that the body fights these lifestyle diseases naturally? Email shireenyong@gmail.com or Whatsapp / call 019 266 4290 to find out more.

Our Saturday - 18 February 2017

It was an activity packed Saturday for me. My day started at 4:45 a.m..  Alycia and Drama Queen had to attend full day school. Since the transporter does not provide service on Saturdays for Drama Queen, I had to Uber her to school. Back home, I hopped back onto bed for an hour of shut eye. Then woke Cass up and off we went for breakfast and grocery shopping.

At 1:30 p.m., I sped off to school to attend a briefing on 'Hari Penepatan Target UPSR'.  It is a compulsory briefing for parents and students. With the entire briefing by the principal in Mandarin, I could only comprehend less than 50% of what was being said and tried really really hard to keep my eyes opened 😴😴

After the briefing, I hit the gas to reach home, took a quick lunch and then rushed to send Cass for piano lesson.  After dropping off Cass, I brought the big girl to get a gift for her friend. She was to attend a friend's surprise birthday party the next day.

Back home from piano class, I hustled our bustle and got us ready to leave the house at 6pm to attend our friend's house warming party at Kota Kemuning.

We left our friend's house slightly after midnight. After a 45-minute ride home and our late night showers, we only hit the sack at 2 a.m. And as usual, I was up by 8 a.m. on a Sunday. It has been another sleep deprived week for me and this weekend will be yet another seriously lack of shut-eye week for me. I am joining Cass and Drama Queen in their school's jogathon this coming Saturday morning. *feeling excited yet exhausted* 😦😰😴 Thankfully I have my most trusted Izumio and Super Lutein to keep me energized to ride out my hectic week.

Indulge Moderately But Take Precaution

The 15 days of Chinese New Year celebration is finally over.  For those who celebrated, I am sure you had a hard time trying to resist sinking your teeth into those irresistible cookies, arrowroot chips, crabstick crisps and dried meat. And those back-to-back high fat and meaty meals with family members and friends with no opportunity to even rest our innards.  Even 'lou sang' is the baddie with such ingredients as super sweet gooey plum syrup, oil, fried crackling crisps and fried vermicelli colored with an assortment of bright food dye added into the plate of fruits and vegetables to make the dish look colorful and palatable. Thankfully I didn't gain any weight despite indulging in such high caloric food while skipping exercise for one week during the CNY school holidays 😊

To keep your weight in check, never starve yourself, skip meals or go cold turkey on your favorite snacks. That will only make you crave more for the forbidden food.  Eat everything you love in small portions and in moderation. I like to satiate my crave but never overdo it. Never ever overeat on anything. Below is my favorite 'nin ko' prepared in the humblest way - steamed and coated with freshly grated coconut. I have been craving to eat steamed nin ko with grated coconut throughout the 15 days of CNY but only get to satiate my craving today 😋 And nope, I didn't gorge on it.  A few really yummy pieces managed to satiate my crave. Till then, I'll wait for another year before I get to taste nin ko again 😀

While it's okay to indulge occasionally, it is very important for us to ensure that we are doing our best to take good care of our health.  Even if you’re eating a healthy diet, however, white flour and sugar raise your risk for diabetes as well as many other diseases.

The production of white flour involves stripping away of the most nutritional aspects of the grain: the germ and the bran. It also includes the addition of lost B vitamins and iron, and bleaching it with a chemical bleaching agent to make it appear bright white. The flour itself is devoid of the fiber which aids in passing easily through the large intestine. A person following a diet that regularly includes eating white flour as well as sugar or products made with the ingredients, increases their chances for weight gain, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.

I am glad that I have Izumio and Super Lutein to keep me healthy. After sinful indulgences, I always drink an extra packet of Izumio and pop extra Super Lutein. The same goes for my girls.  I cannot tell you how effective these products are in keeping our immune system strong, thus preventing us from easily falling sick.

What are you doing to ensure that your health is protected?

Cass Finally Learned How To Swallow Pills And Capsules

Cass has recently started to master the art of swallowing pills and capsules. That's a big achievement for her considering the bitter experiences she has had in the process of learning how to swallow pills. When I first purchased Izumio and Super Lutein primarily for her consumption last year in April 2015, we both went through a very rough time trying to get her to swallow Super Lutein.  She would store the capsule in her mouth and just couldn't bring herself to swallow it. The more tensed she got, the harder it was for her to swallow the capsule.  Moments later, she would spit it out, only to see that the capsule had half melted into a dark brown sticky paste. The all-natural dark brown paste contains 6 types of carotenoids, blackcurrant polyphenols, anthocyanin, vitamin E, B group vitamins, DHA and various other nutrients.  She didn't like the taste of it as it has fish oil and would stifle a puke.  She would have tears in her eyes trying hard to swallow the capsule but alas, the capsule would end up in the bin with her puking. We both got so frustrated that I stopped forcing her to swallow Super Lutein.  I gave her a break of over a year for her to get over her traumatic bitter pill experience.

Ever since Cass had a UTI attack in November 2015 and was given strong dosage of antibiotics via IV and oral, her immunity took a plunge. She would have a minor cold or flu every month on end. But she got well pretty fast too, thanks to Izumio. But we were both very frustrated that she kept getting bitten by the flu bugs every month.  It was so frustrating for her that she asked for Super Lutein as I have always been telling her that this supplement will strengthen her immune system. She wanted to try popping the small tear-drop like capsule again.

It was around July this year that Cass finally had the courage to try swallowing Super Lutein again. Before we started, I had a Eureka moment. I remembered how my mum used reverse psychology on the girls when they were younger to get them to drink water and milk by challenging them to compete with her to see who finished the drink first. I tried the same tactic on Cass.  This brat who is quite competitive in nature loved the challenge as she wanted to win me all the time!  By making pill-popping seem like a fun competition, the brat conquered her phobia of pill swallowing and voila, she finally swallowed her first Super Lutein without much fuss, and then the next and the rest they say is history. She now pops 2 capsules of Super Lutein a day. And would you believe it if I told you that she doesn't get colds and flu so often now? I shan't say more. As you know, Chinese folks are very 'pantang' (taboo) if a child is praised excessively. I kind of believe this taboo too.

However, the brat would only willingly swallow her Super Lutein only if I compete with her each time, which isn't a big deal to me. Most times, I fake losing to her :D   She gets the honor of winning the race and I have one less worry.  Life is so much more easier when your kids are healthy. This I am sure every parent out there would agree with me.

Beat The Blue Light's Damage To Your Eyes With Flora Glo Lutein

If you use a handphone very frequently, you need to pop a good lutein supplement to preserve your eye sight for as long as you can.

Blue light is everywhere. Sunlight is the main source of blue light, and being outdoors during daylight is where most of us get most of our exposure to it. But there are also many man-made, indoor sources of blue light, including fluorescent and LED lighting and flat-screen televisions. Most notably, the display screens of computers, electronic notebooks, smartphones and other digital devices emit significant amounts of blue light. The amount of HEV light these devices emit is only a fraction of that emitted by the sun. But the amount of time people spend using these devices and the proximity of these screens to the user's face have many eye doctors and other health care professionals concerned about possible long-term effects of blue light on eye health.

Has it occurred to you that kids these days start wearing eye glasses at a very tender age? That is because kids in this era have easy access to electrical gadgets like iPad, iPod, mobile phones, laptops, desk top computers and other e-devices.  Some parents use these gadgets to babysit their kids.

infographic about harmful blue light eye health solution to beat the blue supplementation with FloraGLO lutein

The eye is not very good at blocking blue light. Anterior structures of the adult human eye (the cornea and lens) are very effective at blocking UV rays from reaching the light-sensitive retina at the back of the eyeball. In fact, less than one percent of UV radiation from the sun reaches the retina, even if you aren't wearing sunglasses. On the other hand, virtually all visible blue light passes through the cornea and lens and reaches the retina.

Blue light exposure may increase the risk of macular degeneration. The fact that blue light penetrates all the way to the retina (the inner lining of the back of the eye) is important, because laboratory studies have shown that too much exposure to blue light can damage light-sensitive cells in the retina. This causes changes that resemble those of macular degeneration, which can lead to permanent vision loss. Although more research is needed to determine how much natural and man-made blue light is "too much blue light" for the retina, many eye care providers are concerned that the added blue light exposure from computer screens, smartphones and other digital devices might increase a person's risk of macular degeneration later in life.

Protecting Your Eyes With Lutein, The Eye Vitamin.  Lutein is one of two major carotenoids found as a color pigment in the human eye (macula and retina). It is thought to function as a light filter, protecting the eye tissues from sunlight damage. Lutein is called a carotenoid vitamin. It is related to beta-carotene and vitamin A. Foods rich in lutein include broccoli, spinach, kale, corn, orange pepper, kiwi fruit, grapes, orange juice, zucchini, and squash. Lutein is absorbed best when it is taken with a high-fat meal.

FloraGlo Lutein protects your eyes from the harmful blue light that you get from your smartphone, iPads and computers daily. DAILY!!!!  I am guilty as charged too!

Lutein for babies and pregnant mommies.  This is from studies made by the American Government research centre not just hearsay by me. Read the conclusion at the bottom. And please remember, only use FloraGlo Lutein for pregnant mommies and babies despite the fact that all other Lutein supplements in the market are cheap. There is a reason why they are cheap. The Lutein eaters are not pure in composition like Floraglo Lutein and does not get absorbed well into the blood.

Super Lutein from Naturally Plus contains Floraglo Lutein, the only lutein trusted by doctors in the USA.

My 3 girls and I pop 2 Super Lutein a day.  This is to protect our eyes from damage as my kids are exposed to man-made blue light every single day.  I stare at the computer screen for almost 10 hours each day and I know that if I do not take care of my eyes, I may lose my vision in time to come.  I already have eye floaters and I am very certain that this is caused by over-usage and over-stressing my eyes.  After 1.5 years on Super Lutein, the floaters have reduced in intensity and frequency.

Do we want to wait till it is too late?   Do drop me an email at shireenyong@gmail.com or call / Whatsapp me at 019 266 4290 to find out more.  No obligation to purchase anything :)

Best Supplements For The Family To Weather The Storm

This is what Cass pops into her body each day -- 2 packets of Izumio and 2 capsules of Super Lutien each day. That's enough of antioxidants to protect her body from free radicals and toxins.  Alycia, Sherilyn and I consume these supplements too but in a slightly lower dosage.

No automatic alt text available.

On top of  these supplements from Naturally Plus that are free from fillers, binders and preservatives, we eat fresh fruits and vegetables everyday.  We have healthy homecooked food five times a week.

Fruits for today are Korean Shingo pear, New Zealand Sonya apple and cool kyuri.

As I was still very busy with work today and had no time to cook lunch for Cass, we had takeout nasi briyani - half a packet of rice with  chicken and sauteed spinach from my favorite Indian restaurant shared between the two of us.  I try not to eat outside food on week days but on mega busy days, I'll relax my Nazi health practice and take the easy way out by seeking refuge from the food stalls. It's comforting to know that we have Izumio and Super Lutein to assuage the crap that we put into our bodies each day.

Image may contain: food

Did you know that even the simple natural act of breathing causes free radicals in our body?  Stress, anger, lack of sleep, unhealthy diet and lifestyle all load our bodies with more free radicals. I am GUILTY as charged when it comes to stress and lack of sleep coz I just can't help it. If I had a choice, I'd throw stress and lack of sleep out of my life forever right away! That is why I need Izumio to zap away all the built up free radicals in my body every day.

If you are not taking any antioxidant supplements yet, it's a smart choice if you start taking them now. It's a good investment on yourself that can possibly safe you from serious health issues in future.

Scary Video Shows How Quickly Bacteria Becomes Antibiotic Resistant

Prevention is better than cure. I am all for this adage.

Do watch this video on an experiment by Harvard Medical School on how quickly bacteria becomes antibiotic resistant. They mutate, evolve and become so strong that even the most powerful of antibiotics can't defeat them!

And I am speaking from experience. When Cass was put on prophylactic antibiotics EVERY DAY since she was only a fragile 6-week old infant, the antibiotics did not work on preventing a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).  Despite taking antibiotics every day, she would get a UTI attack once every 3 weeks.  Every single month. This went on until she was strong enough for a surgery at 13 months old weighing a mere 8kg.  I went through many nightmares with Cass when her doctors told me that the sensitivity test report showed that no safe antibiotics were suitable for her. The bacteria had evolved into mutants, resisting even strong antibiotics.   Imagine, if a doctor tells you that your child has an infection that no safe antibiotics could cure.  What would you do? How would you feel? I can still remember my exact feelings on those cold nights in the hospital staring blankly at the sensitivity test report with my doctor sitting next to us and scratching his head trying to find a solution to treat Cass.  How did Cass and I even survive those days?  I can only pray that we will never have to go through those harrowing moments again, ever.

And that is why I am doing all that I  possibly can  to prevent another UTI from attacking Cass.  Ever since she had a UTI attack in November last year, she's had a series of mild UTI attacks.  When she had quite a bad UTI attack in November last year, she was put on strong antibiotics via IV for 5 days and another 7 days of oral antibiotics. The after-effects of antibiotics on the body is really damaging.  Cass' immune system was weakened. I am very sure that the antibiotics did not completely kill all the resistant bacteria (and they multiply when conditions are conducive), thus the series of mild UTI attacks every 3-6 weeks, post November 2015.

Cass is now under a very 'controlled' lifestyle by me. She drinks Izumio hydrogen water 3 times a day, pops 1-2 Super Lutein capsules every day, pops a potent probiotics once or twice a day, drinks boiled barley and Job's Tears water every other day, coconut water every other day and I limit her intake of acidic food. She also drinks Waterfall D-Mannose every four hourly.   Sweets and junk food are banned. Sweet food is limited. Sugar and refined flour products only feed the bacteria, as with an acidic environment. Food that I cook is less sodium, less sugar and less oil. I try to avoid using bottled sauces with preservatives, coloring and other harmful chemicals.  She has to pee every hourly. And the toughest part is waking her up at 2am every single day to bring her to pee.  Drinking lots of clear liquid and peeing is key to flushing out the bacteria, NOT antibiotics.

Watching this stunning video of disease will surely bring pandemic movies like “Contagion” and “Outbreak” to mind. A Harvard Medical School study tested the strength of bacteria against powerful antibiotics on a “mega-plate” petri dish. And guess who lives in the end?

In the experiment, bacteria is placed on the sides of a petri dish and then advances to the center as it encounters different types of antibiotics, each more powerful than the last. The scientists created a time-lapse video to show its rapid evolution over the course of two weeks. You can see the bacteria (in white) as it fights through layers of antibiotics, multiplying and morphing as it spreads. Over the course of time, the superbugs become impervious to drugs and not only survive, but also thrive as they increase in size and strength. It shows how antibiotics are truly powerless against mighty evolution.

The experiment is one of the first large-scale looks at the evolution of bacteria (or, arguably, of life) and how even our most powerful drugs can’t kill germs. Which leaves us with only one conclusion: This is both really cool and totally unnerving.

Izumio And Super Lutein - Prostate Cancer

This testimonial on prostate cancer and how the products have helped a 77-year old man with prostate cancer was originally posted by one of our team mates in June 2015.

My dad ( 77 yrs old) was diagnosed with prostrate cancer in March this year with his PSA level at 143. He didn’t want to go for further scan so we do not know what stage he is in or where the cancer has spread. The biopsy showed little cancer cells in his prostrate so the doctor ‘thinks’ that it may have spread to his bones. However he had no symptoms related to prostrate cancer. ..i.e no urination problem, or any pain. One of the reasons he took the blood test was because he had been feeling extreme tiredness. The tiredness caused by cancer is different from our normal tiredness. Tiredness caused by cancer does not go away even after sleep/rest. He went for hormone injection in March. This hormone injection works by stopping the hormone testosterone from reaching prostate cancer cells because testosterone is like ‘fertilizer’ for cancer cells. This injection is suppose to help lower the PSA level and also control the cancer cells from spreading but not to heal. After the 1st treatment in March, he became weaker each day due to the side effects of the jab. 2 months after his treatment he was so weak that he thought he will meet his Maker soon. I then decided to get him Izumio and SL.

Fast forward 2 weeks later after IW and SL, he felt better and went to do another blood test. His PSA level dropped from 143 to 12.5. Since it is only 2 weeks after he took the products, we can’t really tell if it is due to the products or the hormone injection was working well. Whatever it is, I believed the products did help greatly. It has been a month now since he consumed IW and SL. He is less tired. More positive and cheerful. He sleeps well. No more bloating or stomach pain. Only still dealing with his tiredness in which certain days are better than other.

Dosage : First 3 days 3 IW 9SL. Thereafter till now : 4IW 12SL

Detox symptoms : His detox symptoms started on the 3 rd day consuming the products. Some of his old symptoms came back i.e heart palpitations ( he has leaky valve) , stomach pulling, dizziness and very tired. His current symptoms magnified i.e bloating, stomach pain.

New symptoms : sweating profusely especially in the night ( could also be a side effect of the hormone injection ), feeling heaty and of course loose stools several times a day.

Thank God, that had all calm down from week 3 onwards.

Yesterday, he went for his follow up treatment. The doctor was very pleased with his progress and wanted his PSA to drop further. However he (doctor) is not ‘receptive’ that the products can really help heal/cure cancer. Gave my dad another jab and told to come back in 3 months time. Though my dad is not cleared of his cancer yet ( and the doctor doesn’t believe it can be cured rather it can be controlled for many years….more like prolonging his life), taking the products has helped him greatly. From someone that used to sit and stare at the wall and looking miserable, he can now do light exercises , sweep the compound and sometimes cycle to the nearby market. Just looking forward for him to be healthier each day.

Update (18-9-15) : My dad's PSA is now 3.4 which is considered normal for his age. He is on 3SL 1IZ once to twice a day.

If you know of anyone with prostate cancer, you could tell them that they can try natural supplements like water enriched with molecular hydrogen and carotenoids.  There is no 100% guarantee that they will get healed but these products have helped many people with terminal diseases get better.  These are life-saving products. You have nothing to lose by giving them a try.  I am thankful I gave them a try 1.5 years ago. Don't take my word for it. Just try them to see the difference they can make to your health.

Izumio for Sports

Recently I started adding crunches back into my daily exercise regimen. Age is catching up on me. As we age, our basal metabolic rate drops too. Before I develop a sagging jiggly pouch in front of me with sagging grandma arms too, I better do something to tone up my muscles!

According to the American Council on Exercise, your basal metabolic rate drops roughly one to two percent per decade. By the late twenties, many women notice that they can’t eat the same things they used to without gaining weight and that the weight doesn’t fall off as easily as it once did.  Since this drop starts right about the time people settle into the (largely sedentary) workforce—and start losing muscle—your office job might actually be to blame too.

To add insult to injury, during your thirties, you aren’t producing as much human growth hormone as before (no more growth spurts for you!), which also leads to a dip in your metabolic rate.  However, strength training can help you build muscle and produce more human growth hormone, both of which keep your metabolism running as fast as (or faster than) it did when you were 20.

Thus, no matter how tired or busy I may be, I make it a point to exercise first thing in the morning, after sending the girls off to their transporters. Pre-dawn exercising gives me back my sanity and I just love the serenity, quietness and peace of the outdoors during that time of the day. I have been doing this for the past 16 years and I will never stop performing my daily pre-dawn exercise. It is a must in my life.

Back home after a 30-minute swim in the pool (26 - 28 laps) or 40-minute brisk walk outdoors, I continue with crunches on my fitball.  On busy days, I skip the Swiss ball crunches but compensate with bicycle crunches on the bed - about 60 of them. You will feel the aches and pains on your body for a start, especially on your belly but as time goes, you will be able to increase the number of crunches with no more aches. And you'll begin to see the toned muscles on your abdomen.

On top of exercising, I cook 5x a week, sometimes twice a day. I chauffeur the kids around. I do the groceries. I have some businesses that I do online. I manage 3 blogs.  And I only get 5 hours of sleep each day. How do I find the energy to fuel me for all these?

The answer lies in hydrogen water and antioxidants, which I religiously consume everyday.

Treating Vertigo Naturally

A few weeks ago, my 70-year old mum suddenly had a bout of dizzy spell while doing marketing at the wet market in Ipoh. She was with my dad. She informed my dad to cut short the marketing and to head home straight as she could not even walk unassisted by my dad.  Once home, she immediately popped 2 capsules of Super Lutein with a packet of Izumio hydrogen water.  To her amazement, the dizziness disappeared within less than an hour!   She was then fit enough to bake bread and even cooked lunch.

Mum was so excited that she immediately messaged me to share the good news with me on how Izumio and Super Lutein had saved her again from a trip to the doctor's office. She hates the side effects of drowsiness and nauseousness caused by the anti-giddiness drugs. Plus a visit to a private doctor on a Sunday would have cost her a bomb too.

Vertigo is a specific type of dizziness that is characterized by the sudden sensation that you are spinning or that the world around you is spinning. The feeling can come and go or it can last for hours or days. Along with the dizziness, people may also experience nausea or vomiting, headaches, double vision or a racing heartbeat.

A few days ago, the mil suddenly felt dizzy in the morning. She skipped swimming and just lay listless on the bed. I was hesitant to offer her Izumio and Super Lutein as she's not one who trusts MLM products. In the evening, she told me that she would like to try the products as she, like my mum hates the side-effects of the drugs. After 2 days on the products, she was well enough to cook and bake again.  Today is the forth day and she's feeling better than ever. She just whipped up a sumptuous dinner and baked 2 batches of Madeleines for the girls' lunch boxes tomorrow. Yesterday she baked scones for us.  Awesome grandma she is!

Each carton has 30 packets of 200ml izumio hydrogenated water

Each bottle has 100 capsules

Izumio To The Rescue

With all the heavenly Penang and Ipoh ambrosia that we pigged out on over the past one week, I am so relieved that none of us is down with sore throat nor did we develop any nasty reaction to the rich and heaty food.  We feasted on  crabs and prawns almost daily - big and succulent ones. Those crabs were bursting with roe too, which doubled the lethalness!  I hope my overload on seafood  doesn't spike up my cholesterol level (I have genetic high cholesterol if case you missed out on my earlier posts).   And satay, Ipoh curry noodles, fried lobak, fried spring chicken, sausages and pizzas too. On our way back from Ipoh, hubs made a stop-over at the Sg Buloh R&R and we had Burger King - set meals with piles of deep fried junk fries.  The girls stuffed them into their mouths like they were gold, quickly gobbling them down, lest I stopped them.  The girls ate their fast food like they were some just released inmates who hadn't tasted such scrumptious food for yonks. Forbidden food always tastes so good, don't they? Haha!

I am thankful that I have Izumio hydrogen water and Super Lutein to help us stay in top form during our holiday.

Hydrogen is the smallest atom in the chemical chart making it perfect for accessing the deepest darkest parts of the body (mitochondrial cells) where others cannot reach. Every chromosome, amino acid and protein block in our bodies need Hydrogen to build good quality cells

Hydrogen has also a pH balancing effect on the body not turning acid into alkaline at all, but balancing the equilibrium of the body whilst flushing out acidic toxins through sweat and urine. In short, normal water has been helping us do this all our lives but Izumio is much, much stronger.

Super Lutein is essentially the extract of vegetable essence encapsulated in a sealed soft gel capsule completely safe for babies. It has more than 11 ingredients from top quality Lutein (best in the world) to other carotenoids from tons of fruit and vegetables that one could never eat in a day. The capsules can be swallowed or chewed and taste like a mixture of fish oil and dark leafy green vegetables.

Our family has been consuming both Izumio and Super Lutein for slighly over a year now. I am so glad that my friend gave some to Cass to try.  Now there is no looking back for me. I am already consuming them for free now and would love to consume them for as long as we can.

Treating Jaw Joint Pain Naturally With Hydrogen Water And Carotenoids

Today I had a chat with my mum on Facebook Messenger.   She then casually mentioned to me about the pain that she experienced on her jaw joint a few days ago.  My mum will turn 70 years old in September this year.

I've something to share regarding the goodness of Izumio and Super Lutein. Two days ago I experienced extreme left jaw joint pain which kept me awake the whole night! Since I couldn't sleep I decided to get up (5am) and drank I packet of  Izumio.
I then Google searched to find out what kind of doctor to see as soon as clinic opens for the day. Either see dentist for possible tooth or gum infection or orthopaedic surgeon who may take X-ray of the jaw bone.
Chewing, swallowing, coughing and even smiling was a torture! Thought it could be mumps but no swelling.
When informed, worried Papa quickly made a big pot of rice porridge for all my meals on Monday!
I faithfully drank packets and packets of Izumio (lost count!) and took 2 or 3 Super Lutein (also lost count) because I was really desperate and refused to consult dentist or doctor.
Know what happened then? At the end of the day, the jaw pain just miraculously disappeared!

Thank God and thank Izumio and Super Lutein!

Izumio And Super Lutein - Testimonial On Stroke

Almost a year ago,  the Mom of my team member's friend  had a stroke. She collapsed and could not walk and could not talk. At that time, my friend was 3 hours away from her Mom but her sister had called her to say Mom had fallen. My friend had literally just collected 3 boxes of Izumio for her own daughter for her gut healing as she had a tendency to break out often. She then rushed to her Mom's side. The ambulance took Mom to the Hospital.

Prior to this, she had instructed her sister to give Mom a packet of Izumio knowing that Izumio could help save a life. You would just not believe this but after that one packet, the Mom became conscious and could talk again. She had no recollection of where she was, who she was, who her family members were and did not recognise anyone.

At the hospital, the Doctor's plan was to open up her brain and fix it. My friend had so much faith in Izumio that she gave a story to the Doctors to hold on with the operation. With stroke and an old lady, anything could go wrong. She told the Doctor to wait for her brothers from abroad to arrive back first before going ahead with the brain surgery.  She can even read her Bible.

Meanwhile, she made friends with the nurses and learnt how they fed her Mom through the feeding tube. And when nobody was watching, she poured Izumio into the feeding tube. 4 packets a day to be exact. The very next day, the droop on her Mom's face had reversed. The 4 packets a day continued in secret.

5 days later, her Mom vomited the blood clot out and she panicked shit. But her Mom was OK thereafter!!!!

She did not end up having any brain surgery.

Today, the Mom's white hair has turned back to black. Prior to her stroke, my friend had already plans to bring Mom for a glaucoma operation but now she no longer needs it as she can see and is no longer at risk.

Now this sounds like a miracle that is just too good to be true. You don't have to believe it. But if there is a life to be saved, go out and do it.  My team member totally trusts her friend and I know that if anyone around me whom I loved had a stroke (God forbid), I would have done a similar thing.
Because I believe in the powerful healing properties of Hydrogen.
