Want Healthy Teeth? Use These Tips to Help
You want to have healthy teeth and you want to keep them for as long as you can, right? If you’re like most people you never want to have to think about dental implants or dentures in your later years.
While technology is getting a lot better in dental care, a lot of the responsibility still falls on you when it comes to taking care of your teeth. Use these tips to help you keep your teeth as healthy as possible without really changing your routine much at all.
Carry Dental Floss
Carrying dental floss around with you might seem a little crazy, but it’s something that can really be beneficial for adults. Some dentists will even tell you that if they were forced to pick between brushing and flossing they’d pick flossing. That’s how important it is!
To keep your teeth clean and healthy, keep a spool of dental floss in your desk at work, in your bag or in your car. You can floss almost anywhere, and even doing a quick floss at your desk is better than skipping the floss altogether.
Once you get in the habit of flossing after each meal you’ll wonder how you ever did without it.
Chew Gum
Many dentists hesitate to recommend chewing gum as something that’s good for your teeth because it causes people to skip the floss and toothbrush and pop a piece of gum instead. While chewing gum can’t replace your dental floss or toothbrush, it can help you from getting cavities and damaging your teeth when you’re simply unable to brush or floss for a little while.
What you’re looking for is sugar free gum with the ingredient xylitol, which is found in many toothpastes and mouthwashes. It will help clean your teeth a little bit and prevent acids from damaging your enamel quite so much.
Go to the Dentist
Making an appointment with your dentist every six months probably isn’t something you look forward to. However, you probably do enjoy the feeling of having clean teeth and knowing that your mouth is healthy and in good shape, right?
By visiting a Brooklyn NY dentist every six months you’ll make sure that they can catch any problems that are starting before they cause you pain and a lot of money. You’ll also have better looking teeth through your life without expensive cosmetic procedures if you get regular cleanings.

Tiger Mom's Tiger Fangs Yanked Off :(
My diet for the past 2 days and also today have been bread with MIL's homemade jams along with lots of fruit smoothies.
I had my tooth extracted yesterday and dang it, it was one of the worst experiences for me. That is why I am totally paranoid of going to the dentist. I can still withstand 3 C-section child births but not a procedure in my mouth!
I was a complete nervous wreck yesterday and totally freaked out.
I was gobsmacked when I saw just how long my premolar tooth was when it was yanked off! I told my girls that this is mummy's tiger fangs!

Yes I am indeed a tiger mom with tiger fangs too *ROARS*!!
I just lurve the MIL's homemade strawberry jam. She also made some marmalade jam and nutty bread. So I don't really mind having bread three times a day for 3 days straight.

Of New Teeth And Shark Teeth
Cass' first baby tooth dropped right smack in the month she turned 6, exactly like what has been written in those baby care books.
For weeks the lower front tooth had been shaking. She wanted badly for the tooth to drop so that she could get $$ from the Tooth Fairy. Silly girl. She has been really influenced by what she watched from the slapstick comedy The Tooth Fairy a few months back. She even told me that she wished that her teeth will fall off so that she gets lots of money from the Tooth Fairy *face palm*!
And the day Cass' tooth dropped was pretty memorable and eventful, just like Sherilyn's teeth shedding moments. I was feeding her mango from the seed. She sucked on the seed and when I pulled the seed away from her mouth, she told me that her tooth was almost yanked off! And then she pulled it out herself! Ya, just like that. My brave girl, as brave and tough as ever. Not a tear was shed albeit there was some blood which she really hated the 'bitter taste'. That was how she described her blood.

Now my wish for Cass is for the other lower front tooth to drop off AS SOON AS POSSIBLE coz you know why? She has a SHARK TEETH just behind the baby tooth. This means that an adult tooth is sprouting out even though the baby tooth has not fallen off yet. Now if the adult tooth comes out and the baby tooth is still firmly rooted in the gums, then she may have to extract that baby tooth to make way for the adult tooth, OUCH!! :(
