2 More Days To Go....
Yes, 2 more days to go before my confinement ends and I can finally bid farewell to my confinement lady. Let me tell you, the past 28 days were one of my worst. I hate going through confinement period, I did not enjoy my previous 2 confinements and this is my worst.... and I hope it will be my very last confinement too. I dislike the CL (except my 1st CL), I hated the pain on my wound, I hate the hot weather, I hate it that I have to bathe with ginger and murky color water, I hate it that I can't bathe with cold water, I hate it that I can't go out for 30 days (though I broke the confinement rule this time and went out once) and I just hate everything about the confinement. Now when the CL goes back, I know I will have lesser time to myself, I can't wake up at 9:30am everyday anymore and I will have to care for Baby C myself fulltime, on top of caring for Alycia and Sherilyn. But that's ok.... I love my 3 angels!

Confinement Food

That's what I had for lunch yesterday :

Stir-fried vege and a papaya soup with chicken. At the rate I am eating now, my weight will surely go up and up. As it is now, my weight has already shot up by 1kg to 48kg, which means I have 4kg to shed to reach my pre-pregnancy weight. It is only through exercise that I can shed the last few stubborn pounds.

Soup, Milk And Red Dates Water The Whole Day
That's how much soup I drink everyday. One big bowl during lunch, one big bowl during dinner and another big bowl of soup or double boiled chicken essence after dinner.
Yesterday, I almost finished this pot of 'york choy tong' or herbal soup.
On top of soup, I drink 2 big flasks of red dates, black dates, 'tong sum' (a kind of herbs) and kei chee water everyday. In addition, I also drink 3-4 glasses of milk with Milo everyday. So can you imagine me having to rush to the loo to pee every hour of the day and night?
Did you drink as much soup, milk and red dates water too during your confinement?

How I Love My Urut Session
I just had a session of urut (massage in Malay). Woot.... it really felt so good. As the urut lady was putting the 'tungku' (hot stone) on my belly, I could feel the trapped wind in my tummy rumble and then making its way out.... from the top and bottom! Phew, felt so good as the wind was being released. The urut lady seemed very experienced and could even tell that I still had some blood clots in my body by touching my tummy (which is true as the ultrasound scan last week showed some blood clots between my womb and the bladder). The hot stone is supposed to induce the blood clots out and to expel the wind. She charged me RM70 for a 1.5 hour session and I have booked her for 5 sessions. I can't wait for her to come again for my next urut session on Thursday.

Confinement Food
That's what I ate for lunch 2 days ago :
'Mui Choi kai' (braised chicken with dried vegetables) and stir-fried celery with sliced pork.
Today, my CL boiled papaya soup again, this time with chicken. I still do not see an increase in my milk supply. Hopefully it will flow out superfluously in the days to come, esp. after my P-I-T-N CL leaves in 2 weeks' time.

Confinement Food

That's what I had for lunch yesterday - 'chue keok choa' or black vinegar pigs' trotters with hard boiled chicken eggs and hard boiled ducks eggs. Also had brocolli and a herbal soup.... one big pot that is.... for the whole day!
My appetite is the worse this confinement. Maybe that's because of my inflammed guts. This confinement is also the least like a proper confinement for me as I have broken every rule there is in a confinement. I was treated like a princess during my 1st confinement after the birth of Alycia. I ate in my room and had a very good CL. My 2nd confinement was also satisfactory. With 2 older kids now, I find it really hard to get rest during the day. My CL is also a pain in the neck and would not help me much. Talking and writing about her make my blood boil.
