Payment From Google AdSense

I got my third payment from Google AdSense recently - USD119.61!

After currency conversion, I received RM400++. Though this amount is nothing to shout about, I am still happy coz I didn't have to do much to get this money. I must thank you, my readers for clicking on my Google ads. Please do continue to click on my Google ads hor, you know, the ones on the right side of my side bar and at the end of my blog post. Thank you SO much!!

Get Paid To Blog

Times are pretty bad. Offers from advertising networks have been really scarce. Even if there are offers, most advertisers do not want blogs with a PR0. One advertising network has even slashed down their payout amount from a minimum of $5 per post to a pathetic $0.50 per post! Many bloggers who blog for money have been hit hard by the worldwide financial tsunami.

It’s really rare to see opps at $10 these days, especially for PR0 blogs but this morning, I got a $10 opp from Paying Post, a new advertising platform that brings bloggers and advertisers together. Paying Post works pretty much the same as most advertising networks. In order to receive opps from Paying Post, you have to submit your blog(s) to payingpost.com. Your blog will then be reviewed by the support team and whether your blog is approved or otherwise, you will be notified via email. Once your blog is approved, you will need to install a chunk of codes into your blog before you can proceed to reserve opps at payingpost.com. There is a long list of opps at the Paying Post website and the opps will be available to your blog on a first-come-first-served basis. The opps are shaded in different colors to signify the availability for your blog. Once you have reserved an opp, you will have 6 hours to complete and submit your review to payingpost.com. Payment will be made out to you via your PayPal account once your earnings reach $50.

So if you have a blog and want to make money blogging or if you already have a blog and want to earn more moolah, quick register your blog at payingpost.com now. But remember, your blog has to be at least 3 months old before you can submit it to Paying Post. Don’t worry about the PR, PR0 blogs get approved too!

Opp-Less

Times are really bad. Opps from advertisers are really, really scarce these days. I hardly have any opps to write these days but know what, I'm not disappointed at all. I feel it's a blessing in disguise coz these days, I'm really busy with the kids, especially with baby. I hardly have the time to blog, what more blog for money. These days, I don't even have the time to read the newspapers.

For those who blog for money, you'd have realized how bad the situation is in the U.S. My favorite advertising network has not released a single opp since the beginning of this month. I used to write between 20-50 opps a month for this advertiser. One advertising network has slashed down the payout amount for each opp from USD5 to only USD0.50! Now, that's a dramatic slash down but there are people who still grab the 50 cents opp! I would too if I have the time to write them.

Cheque From Nuffnang Finally!

After having placed the Nuffnang banner in my blogspot blog for more than a year, I finally cashed out the money recently. 2 weeks ago, I got a surprise when I opened an envelope and saw a cheque from Nuffnang. Though it's only for a meagre amount of RM62.36, well at least I still earned some money without having to do anything. This money is enough for me to buy myself a nice pair of sandals for the New Year!

Social Spark

Ever since the big G has been smacking down blogs that write reviews for PPP, many bloggers whom I know have stopped writing for this advertising network and have removed all banners and codes related to this network from their blogs. That’s because the big G is able to track down these blogs from the do-follow links / tag from PPP. After removing the banners and codes from their blogs as well as cease writing reviews for PPP, some of these bloggers have resubmitted their blogs to the big G for reconsideration of a good PR. Some of these blogs have regained a good PR while others have not.

I am sure many bloggers who blog for money would have heard of SocialSpark by now. Social Spark is a branch of PPP and works almost the same as PPP. It is a marketing platform which connects advertisers with bloggers. Bloggers can even socialize among themselves at Social Spark. One thing I like about Social Spark is that all their opps are with no-follow links. I have signed up with Social Spark (you can see my profile here) but it’s funny that I have not heard from them yet on the status of my blog. Barb has asked me to send them a ticket to check the status of my blog but I haven’t got the time to do so. Many of the bloggers whom I know of have already had their blogs approved by Social Spark and they have been accepting opps from them since. I must find some time to write a ticket to Social Spark today to enquire about the status of my blog and to appeal for an approval if they have rejected my application.

If you haven’t signed up with Social Spark yet, quick register now. Don’t worry about your Page Rank being penalized by the Big G coz as I’ve mentioned earlier, all the opps contain no-follow links.

Not Much Luck In Grabbing Ops

When it comes to grabbing offers, I just don't have the luck lately. There were so many ops for PR0 blogs released by 3P a moment ago, many of which were shaded white and green. When I tried to reserve the ops, the page 'hung' for a few minutes and of course I lost to other people. It's really frustrating. One moment you see those ops, some of which were above $10 each and the next moment, they turned grey. Sigh..... I better get my beauty sleep instead of chasing a wild goose the whole night. Nite nite....

New Avenue To Earn Revenue

I was blog hopping a moment ago and stumbled upon a new advertising network called Snapbomb, a network that connects advertisers with bloggers. The advertisers at Snapbomb give bloggers the opportunity to write about the things that they love and pay them for their efforts and opinions. Snapbomb is about blog marketing and buzz marketing. They believe that buzz marketing is the strongest form of advertising in existence today.

You can register your blog (or blogs) at Snapbomb and begin to select opportunities right away. However, some opportunities will not be available to you if they don't match your blog. Each blog post must contain a minimum of 150 words and advertisers will be rating your posts. Therefore, quality and quantity are essential. Your blog will be valued based on its popularity, quality, expertise in a field, audience size and feedback from your posts. How much you will get paid for your post is based on your blog value. I have just signed up and I can’t wait to see how much my blog is worth. Hurry up and sign up now to see how much your blog is worth too.

Oh Sh*t!

I was in a hurry to teach my maid to cook and hastily bade for an advertisement at this advertising network. I thought I saw the word cooking rings (as in cooking rings on a stove), so I bade for both my blogs but after bidding, sh*t..... I realize that the word is cock rings and s*x toys. Sei lor.... I am praying that the advertiser won't accept my bid coz there's no way I am going to write about this kind of kinky stuff in my kids' blogs. If my bids are accepted, I will let them expire. So the moral of the lesson is, read carefully before bidding for an opp! Dear Lord, please don't let the advertiser accept this bid of mine and please don't let my account be suspended again by the advertiser!

Blog Rush Again

I am on a blog rush again. This time, I am trying to clear off most of my assignments before my mum goes back to Ipoh on Sunday. Once my mum's gone, I know I will not have so much time on the computer. My maid is really quite hopeless, terribly forgetful and I can't rely on her to do much. I still have 10 more outstanding assignments and I know I won't be able to complete them before my mum leaves. I may even have to let some of the offers expire or only work on them at the eleventh hour, which is something which I hate.

If I have not visited your blog yet, my apologies. I am really running out of time and I will try to find some time to visit your blog real soon.

Really Frustrating

I have just published a paid post in my blog but I have problem submitting the post to the advertiser. I keep getting a message stating that the link is not properly placed in my post. I have copied and pasted the codes to the link countless times from the advertiser's website to my blog post and have even switched the mode to Edit Html but still kept getting the error message. This is really driving me crazy and I have many posts with deadline expiring today and tomorrow.

Greedy

This morning, I bade for an opportunity advertised by one of the advertisers in the network for quite a good price. I had deliberately set a high price coz the opp is for 300 words and on a subject that is quite hard to write. I thought the advertiser would reject my bid outright but less than an hour after I had bade for the opp, the advertiser accepted my bid. Now, I have 6 days to dish out the post and I know I will have a hard time cracking my head to come up with an interesting post. Serves me right for being greedy. Now I have to put on my thinking cap for days to whip out a real good post.... and I still have 9 more outstanding posts to dish out within this week.

Fraudulent Advertiser

This morning, I logged in to an advertising network website and had wanted to start drafting a post when I saw this message :

Opportunity Is Under Review :

This advertiser appears to be fraudulent. While we are investigating this advertisers account this opportunity will continue to be inactive.

Luckily I had not worked on the post earlier, otherwise all my time and effort would have gone down the drain.

Blog Rush Madness

Just realized that I have typed 19 posts today! Still have not beat my record of 25 posts a day. If it was not because of the deadline of submitting the assignments by tomorrow, I would not have rushed like this. But as I have said earlier, I find I work better under pressure. I guess my brain needs some pushing and shock to make it budge to send stronger brainwave, LOL! What also helps are power naps. I had 2 short power naps today; one at 11am for 15 minutes when I surrendered my PC to the gals to do their reading and another one at 4pm for 15 minutes when I put the gals to nap. Tonight, I have to blog hop and reply to comments in my blog.

Blogging For Money

I started writing my very first paid post somewhere in June this year. Initially I only got offers from 1 advertising network. 2 months later, I got offers from more blog advertising networks and now, I am getting offers from more than 10 networks. Last month my total earnings from day one to November have finally surpassed the 5-figure mark. Though this may not be a huge figure for some bloggers for they earn 5-figure revenue EVERY month but to me it is considered an achievement for a SAHM who has to juggle her time with 2 high-needs under-4 toddlers, managing the household and 'struggling' with a pregnancy. Some months are good months but some months are low earning months. If only I could get back a PR4 for my blog, I could have earned even more but oh well, life has to go on even if my blog, as with most people's blogs have been smacked badly by Google. Through prayers, I believe God will always provide for me and my kids sufficiently.

Text Link Ads and Banner Ads

The Google Ads on my side bar have been there for more than 6 months and it's a real pathetic that the amount has not even reached USD100. Same goes for my Auction Ads, I think I don't even see a dollar in my account. I think they are more like ornaments in my blog rather than money-making avenues. Since most of these ads on my side bar are not generating much revenue to me, I'm really considering removing them from my blog.

Tell me, how much have you earned from these side bar ads?

Reject or Crack Your Head?

What do you do when you've accepted an offer to write a review on a topic that you have no idea what to write about or the subject is totally alien to you? Do you reject it or spend an hour cracking your head and praying for a brainwave? Well, if I have the time, I will do some google search on the product, then write about it. But most times, I'll rather be lying on the couch watching TV than crack my poor head. In times like this, I'll wait till the eleventh hour for the offer to expire and if I still have no brainwave, I'll reject the offer.

What Goes Up Often Comes Down

If you ask me if I'm happy with my newly promoted PR from 0 to 4, I'd say yes I am but I'm worried that it will be demoted again. Today, Barbara told me that her PR went down again. Her PR was like a see-saw going up and down for the last few days, as with other bloggers too. Really don't know why it's so unstable and I wonder how Google ranks blogs. So I better make hay while the sun shines coz I never know when it will be gloomy again.

No Cancellation of Order Please!

Today, I received an offer with the highest payout I've ever received from an advertiser, at USD37.50. Without hesitation, I accepted the offer as it was on a topic which I was familiar with. I quickly typed the post and submitted it as I know this particular company has advertisers who are very fond of cancelling orders. I can only hope that the advertiser will accept and approve my post, else all my effort will go down the drain.

Can You Cope With More Than 2 Blogs?

I wonder how some bloggers cope with writing paid posts for more than 2 blogs. I know some bloggers even have a dozen of them and plan to purchase more domains. I wonder where they get so much ideas to write and write and write. They earn 5-figure income each month and I think they even plan to earn more if they can. I wonder if they ever get more than 3 hours of sleep each day. I'm already struggling with 2 blogs and if I create another blog, I don't think I'll have time to eat, sleep and shit, seriously! I'd really love to have a peek in their daily lives and see how they cope with their kids, paid posts, cooking, household chores, taking care of hubby, mil and what nots.

Blog Marathon Again

Have been on a blog marathon today. As of now, 6:15pm, I'd written 7 paid posts and 8 personal posts for both my blogs. I have to finish off these assignments as I won't have much time to blog tomorrow as I would be out the whole day. Though I didn't sleep well last night, but thankfully I am feeling energized today. Must be the expensive birds' nests and black chicken soup that I've been consuming lately that are giving me the extra boost of energy!
