Fuming Mad

2 days ago, I was really cheesed off by the soya bean milk man. I have been his loyal customer for so many years and yet he had the cheek to say such defensive things to wind me up. I had bought a 1.5L bottle of cold soya bean milk from him early this week. On that day, I saw him taking out a big bottle of soya bean milk from the ice box instead of pouring the soya bean milk out from the huge stainless steel dispenser. The bottle was 3/4 full. I then asked him why it was not full and he told me that sometimes he would get customers who would order a few big bottles. It would be faster that he fills up some bottles with soya bean milk up to 3/4 full whenever he has the time. If the customer wants syrup for the soya bean milk, he would fill the remaining 1/4 of the bottle with syrup. Fine, I was satisfied with his answer but still felt dubious. Back home, I immediately kept the bottle of soya bean milk in the fridge. Several hours later when I poured the soya bean milk out, it had coagulated, like bean curd. I knew instantly that the coagulation was partly caused by the man putting the bottle of soya bean milk in the ice box. I threw the bottle of soya bean milk away.

The next day when I asked the soya bean milk man casually why it had coagulated, gosh, this man was highly defensive. He started hurling defensive words that would irritate any customer.

Man - definitely your fridge is not cold enough, this will not happen if your fridge is cold enough...

Me - my fridge is cold, it's new!

Man - new fridge does not mean it's cold enough. I can guarantee your fridge is not cold enough. You people open and close the fridge door so many times, surely your fridge is not cold. Did you use a thermometer to check the temperature?? (and asked in a harsh tone)
(on hearing this, I could feel steam spewing out from my head. This man was trying to challenge me to prove me wrong)

I just shook my head in disbelief of what I heard, took my bottle of soya bean milk from him (yup I still bought a bottle from him) and paced off. That will be my last time buying soya bean milk from him. I did not expect him to pay me back RM4.80 for the bottle of soya bean milk. I was just hoping to get an apology from him. Even a 20sen discount would make me feel better. If I were him, I would have given my customer another bottle of soya bean milk for free to placate a dissatisfied customer. Sigh, some people just lack the business mind and attitude.

Sleepless Over Streamyx

Lately Streamyx has been really really really unreliable and downtime is UP most times. Two weeks ago, Streamyx was disconnected from my house for 8 days. I was so relieved when it was finally re-connected.... but only for several days and my joy was short-lived. Then one night, I had a nightmare. I dreamt that it was disconnected again and lo and behold, it was indeed disconnected 2 days later. How spooky!

Streamyx was again down for 2 more days and when it was finally up again, connection was super unstable. I could only log in to 3 out of 10 websites. I also had to turn off the modem and restart it every 10 minutes throughout the day for 7 days.... and the problem is not even solved yet. I was told by TM Net staffers that there are problems with their server. But why on earth do they need more than a week to rectify their server problem? Why is TM Net / Telekom so inefficient? I tell you, I am really super pissed off with Telekom. I am really getting sleepless nights over this stupid Streamyx.

8 Long Days Without Internet

That’s how efficient our Telekom is… making me wait for 8 days to fix my problem. Had I not called Telekom every 3 hours to check on the status of my disconnected Streamyx (and exaggerated / dramatized a tad on how urgent my case was, and sounded stern, really serious and pissed off with their lackadaisical attitude, threatened them that I would cancel my Streamyx, threatened them that I would bring this matter up to the Management of Telekom, asked if Telekom would compensate me for my loss of income and finally told them that I would publish this matter in my websites), I think I would have to wait for more than 2 weeks to a month before I can have my internet connection up again. I was told by a friend in the IT line that sometimes Telekom takes up to 1 month to get the Streamyx up again! Can you beat that?

I was really cheesed off with the way they handled my case. The staff seemed to be dragging their feet in getting my case solved. I spoke to 2o over customer service staff before my internet connection was up again. Each time I called, they seem to give me the standard answer which goes “I have handed your report to my supervisor. A specialist will be handling your case Mam". It was only when I spoke to the supervisors and told them sternly and seriously as a matter of fact that I would publish this matter in my blogs for the entire nation to read that they got a little worried and put some effort in getting my case solved.

I guess this is the mentality of staff from our government departments. Yup, Malaysia Boleh when they Tak Boleh solve a matter within one day! I think it’s time for me to switch to either Maxis or 3G (Digi) prepaid wireless broadband.

8 Long Days And Still No Internet Yet

Can you beat it? The broadband internet has been disconnected from my house for 8 days and there is still no sign that it will be up again. I have stolen 2 hours again, to go to hubby's office to complete an assignment. I tell you, i am REALLY REALLY pissed off with Telekom. I have been calling Telekom every 2-3 hours for the last 7 days and when I could no longer tolerate hearing their same old lame excuses anymore, I told them yesterday that I will publish this matter in my websites. Today, the technical department of Telekom called to inform me that my Streamyx should be up but my fixed phone line is still down, thus I still can't access internet. Though I have already lodged a report on the faulty phone line, no one came or called me. See how efficient our government is! I am SO DARN PISSED OFF!

Not Much Luck In Grabbing Ops

When it comes to grabbing offers, I just don't have the luck lately. There were so many ops for PR0 blogs released by 3P a moment ago, many of which were shaded white and green. When I tried to reserve the ops, the page 'hung' for a few minutes and of course I lost to other people. It's really frustrating. One moment you see those ops, some of which were above $10 each and the next moment, they turned grey. Sigh..... I better get my beauty sleep instead of chasing a wild goose the whole night. Nite nite....

Really Frustrating

I have just published a paid post in my blog but I have problem submitting the post to the advertiser. I keep getting a message stating that the link is not properly placed in my post. I have copied and pasted the codes to the link countless times from the advertiser's website to my blog post and have even switched the mode to Edit Html but still kept getting the error message. This is really driving me crazy and I have many posts with deadline expiring today and tomorrow.

I Hate Downtime!

The guy from the computer shop will be here any time to bring my computer to his shop for a thorough disk scan. This means once I've unplugged my computer, I will not be able to work for at least half a day. Gosh, how I hate this downtime. I hope the guy won't tell me that there is something seriously wrong with my computer and he needs a few days to fix it. I'll flip if he tells me that coz I still have a lot of work to complete with deadlines tomorrow.

Internet Connection

It is such a relief that the internet connection is stable again. How I hated the slow connection to most websites yesterday. I almost couldn't work when my computer keeps getting the 'hang'. I also couldn't upload pictures at all or upload my blogspot blog intermittently. However, my gmail is still all messed up today and I can only work in HTML mode, which means that I can't gain access to all my contacts/email addresses and other functions are limited. I've got more than 10 assignments outstanding and I just can't afford to send my computer to the shop for a thorough disk scan. Well, maybe I can delay it to next Saturday?

Pissed Off With Streamyx

I am just so pissed off with my internet connection. I saw several opps shaded white from 3P and when I clicked on the opp, it took almost 1 minute to download the opp and another 1 minute to download after I had clicked on the reserve tab. In the end, I lost all the opps. I just lost one which is USD10 for only 50 words. Aarrgh.... how frustrating!!

Pissed Off With Streamyx

I woke up at 6am today hoping to grab some offers and to complete my outstanding assignments. But my computer wouldn't cooperate. It took me ages to download the advertisers' websites. Some websites were fine but I had problems with most sites. I thought my computer was acting up again and restarted it but after it was rebooted, the situation was the same. I had already wasted an hour trying to refresh each screen and to reboot the computer. I then decided to call Streamyx and it was then that I found out that certain areas in the Klang Valley are experiencing Streamyx disruption. Oh what the fun, if only I had known earlier, I could have just continued with my beauty sleep instead of dragging myself up for nothing. So I didn't manage to do anything this morning until around 10am. What a bummer!

No Luck

This morning, I saw a few opps from TigaP but luck just wasn't with me, someone is ALWAYS faster than me. I saw the opps appeared right in front of my eyes and one was shaded green while the other was shaded white but the moment I clicked on the opp, it just vanished into thin air, it didn't even turn grey but just vanished!

What A Bummer

One of the things that upset me a lot is when the water supply to my house is cut off. This week itself, the underground water pipes near our house burst twice, once 2 days ago and this morning, they burst again. This happens very frequently at our housing estate as it is an old housing estate. Each time it happens, the water supply to our house will be cut off for at least half a day and we will not be able to do anything - from taking our baths to cooking, washing the clothes, washing the dishes, cleaning the house, flushing the toilets, etc. I just hate this situation when we are all left dry and dirty. When the water is finally back, needless to say, the water will be murky like teh tarik (pulled tea with milk) and this will last for at least 3 days though we have a huge water filter in our garden. Our clothes will be stained when they are washed in the washing machine and I dare not even wash my face or rinse my mouth with the teh tarik colored water.

I'll be going out now to the RO water-dispenser across my house to buy some water. I just hope there is still some water left for us to buy. What a bummer!

Driving Me Bonkers

My blog is driving me nuts. There is something seriously wrong with either Blogspot or my computer. Each time I try to perform a task like edit a post, click on a link, click on the permanent link, etc. my computer will 'hang' and I have to log out from Blogger and log in again. Then an error message will appear. It is slowing down everything and wasting so much of my time. I hate this downtime. I am already so pressed for time everyday and with a technical glitch like this, I can really go bonkers. I bet myself when I publish this post, my computer will 'hang' again. Aarrgghhh.......

Why Can't I Download My Pix??

I feel so 'kek sum' and 'mung' and down now. I've been trying to download a pic of Happy our Beagle and some more pix for my blog articles since this afternoon but have been getting a failed message, saying server not found and some other IT junkie messages which are so incomprehensible to me. Eeeeee....... what's wrong? Is there something wrong with my blog or some probs with Blogger or something that I did wrongly or is there some sort of connection prob? I am no IT buff and I just hope that I can just dial an extension no. on my phone and my IT staff will be here to rescue me straight away, just like how it used to be when I was a PA to a Dato' years ago. I just hope that by tomorrow, everything will be A-OK. Please help me Lord.......
