Tuesday Dinner From Dah Makan

Since the fasting month started two weeks ago, food companies are striking it big time while the iron is hot. Browsing Facebook  these day is too distractive when food delivery, food promotion and tons of ads on food keep popping up in between every two posts. And I finally succumbed to food delivery order today! The mil doesn't fancy food delivery but she's not feeling well today (Vertigo again) and I told her to rest and not to cook. But I don't have the mojo to cook too!! How?

So yeah, I ordered some healthy meals from Dah Makan today ðŸ˜¬.  Dah Makan approached me to do a review for them several years ago and since then, I've ordered from them several times already. The girls and I are pleased with their food which has a rather 'restauranty edge' as their team of chefs have a wealth of experience from previous attachments at restaurants and hotels. If you're feeling bone-idle or just too pressed for time to cook, do give Dah Makan a try.

Dah Makan's menu consists of healthy and wholesome meals at reasonable prices.  Just order from this link and you'll get RM40 off your bill!

Happy mid-week holiday peeps!  I can finally have a sleep in tomorrow!

Remember your order at Dah Makan has to be via this link to get the RM40 rebate off your bill yeah! By the way, this is NOT a sponsored post ðŸ˜‰

Our sweat-free scrumptious dinner from Dah Makan tonight consists of:

1 x Nasi Kerabu
RM 19.9
1 x Roast Chicken Breast with Ratatouille
RM 23.9
1 x Spaghetti Chicken Bolognese
RM 14.9
1 x Roast Chicken Breast with Sweet Potato Mash
RM 26.9

Super love the mashed sweet potato with grilled chicken breast and roast vegetables.

Curry Dishes For Dinner

As we say good riddance to the El Nino heat, we are now grappling with another natural disaster woe - flash floods.

But I have no complaints. I love the wet and chilly weather.  My mood is instantly lifted up when the skies turn gloomy and a storm looming :D

With a wet and chilly weather greeting us almost every evening, we have been tucking into spicy food lately.

Below -
1. red snapper fish curry with ladies finger, aubergine and long beans.
2.  Beef rendang

Both dishes are from the kitchen of Catermate. Whenever there is an excess of food, we are the happy beneficiaries!

The hubs' chef can whip up curries to die for.  The girls and I are always waiting for days when there is an excess of curry dishes.  We can never get too much of them. And the Nyonya kuih too. They are just too good to resist.

If you need catering for a home or office function, do give my hubs, Alan a call at 019-266 4297.   :)

Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning (24 & 25 December 2015)

Christmas Eve - 24 Dec 2015

We had a 3-in-1 joyous celebration at the hubby's uncle's house last night. It was to celebrate his uncle and aunt's wedding anniversary, the aunt's birthday and Christmas.

The hubby was in charged of the food and here's what he and his team dished out for the party...

Our girls started to warm up with their new friends from Christchurch during a game of cards. They will join us in our Christmas dinner tonight and the girls can't wait to continue their card game with them tonight.  Playing games is one of  the best ways to break the ice and loosen up to new found friends.

Our girls with their beautiful 'aunt' Mel and Michael from Christchurch.  Michael is a very bubbly, sociable and cute little guy from Christchurch. He's the same age as Cass and is the live wire at the party who can play the piano like a pro at just 7 years old.

In case you missed out on my earlier posts, the hubby runs a catering company. If you need a caterer for your company and private functions, do give him a tinkle at 019 266 4297 (Catermate / Alan) :)

Christmas morning - 25 December 2015

We followed the hubby's aunts, uncle and cousins to the church for the 9am service.  I thought we could not make it on time as we only went to bed at 1:30am this morning.  But I was jolted from my beauty sleep up at 6am coz I had a darn painful leg cramp! It's been a long long time since I last had a leg cramp.  Fish! But good thing, coz if it wasn't because of the leg cramp, I think I would have continued with my dream and slept in till 7ish am and wouldn't have made it on time for the 9am service.

There was a huge turnout at the church. After service, we queued up to get pau, courtesy from the church. As you can see from the pix below, the church compound was a sea of church-goers.

After church, we had breakfast at one of the coffee shops at Jln Imbi.

Tonight there will be another round of feasting. This time, there will be traditional Christmas dinner goodies, featuring stuffed turkey, stuffed ham, bacon, pumpkin soup, et al.

Here's wishing you a very merry blessed Christmas :)

Winter Hinata Wedding Theme

Sharing some of the pix that the hubs took at his client's wedding reception at Janda Baik, Genting Highlands on Saturday.  He was the caterer for the wedding reception.

The theme of the wedding was Winter Hinata.

Check out the pix...

Such a splendid wedding at an enchanted place!

If you have a forthcoming function and need a caterer, you can give Catermate (Alan) a tinkle at 019-266 4297 ;)

Catermate

For the past few days, DH had been really busy with work, so busy the gals and I hardly had the time to talk to him and spend some quality time together. DH had been busy with the preparation of a big function of 500+ pax for one of his corporate clients. Two days ago on the day of the function, DH even had to leave the house for his shop at 4am to ensure that everything for the function which begun at 8am was ready, for he cannot afford any slip-up. Well, the sleepless nights and sacrifices were all worth it for DH received compliments for a job well done from his client. Here are some snapshots of the function :

Once again, if there's anyone who is looking for a reliable caterer for just any functions, try out Catermate.

DH Alan can be contacted at 019-266 4297.

Oh, this is not a sponsored post.
