Cheap And Nice

You wouldn't believe how cheap these sports socks are. They only cost 99 sen a pair! Dirt cheap hor? I bought them from Giant and the quality is really good, just as good if not even better than socks worth RM9.99 a pair. I should have bought 20 pairs since I jog everyday had I known that the quality is so good. That's why I like 'house' brand products - they are cheap and good!

No one would have guessed that this pair of socks costs only 99 sen right? Looks nice on my legs eh?

Panasonic Water Filter

We bought an expensive health-enhancing water filter 2 weeks ago, in the hope that Baby C will not have another UTI attack and our 2 older gals won't fall sick so frequently. People say that the cleanliness and purity of our drinking water is very important in preventing ailments. That's why Diamond and Elken came out with their own brands of health-enhancing water filters which are really costly.

To those of you who have a health-enhancing water filter fitted at home, I have a few questions to ask you. Please hop over to my health blog.

Sherilyn's Scar-Covered Legs

Check out my health blog to find out what happened to Sherilyn's legs.

Our Sunday

After church today, we had Italian food at Santini's @ Jaya 1, PJ. These are what we ordered :

Seafood spaghetti...

Baked lasagne with beef and lotsa creamy cheese...

Pizza...

Creamy Pasta ...

Hubby's T-bone steak with grilled squash and veggie...

Tiramasu.... I love this sinful, creamy dessert! I chomped down almost the entire bowl myself. I just love tiramasu and can never get enough of this fattening dessert... with rum lagi shiok!

Dainty Italian chocolate biscuits (chilled) in cute spoons... given on the house!

Alycia and Sherilyn all absorbed watching the chefs make pizza and putting the pizzas into a huge stove with flame.

Verdict : food was good though a little pricey, especially the T-bone steak which hubby ordered.

My Saturday... Part II

Whilst I was busy till I felt dizzy the whole morning today, which is normally a morning where I will be maid-less, Sherilyn my big time trouble-maker created trouble again.... and made me really mad, so mad my hubby could drive me to the madhouse in Tg. Rambutan! The whole morning, she was blowing the goo goo from her nose onto the dining table, then touched Baby C (who is having a slight cough) with her goo-filled fingers , then with her sticky and oily hands played with her toys, touched Baby C again, climbed up and down the chairs and the final straw which made me caned her was when she spilt her glass of water AGAIN!! Aarrgghh..... I tell you, this brat spills water 9 out of 10 times she drinks water UNLESS I am standing next to her with a cane and make sure she gulps down the water immediately instead of playing with the cup or dipping her hands into the water or dipping tissue papers inside the water or pouring water from one cup to another or putting food inside the cup of water or etc, etc. This brat can be up to many bright ideas!

After I had wiped dry the floor and table, Sherilyn asked to eat pine nuts. So I poured some pine nuts into a small bowl for her. She was eating and playing with the pine nuts but I was too busy with Baby C to chide her off. I just knew she would create trouble again and true, she dropped the bowl of pine nuts and the pine nuts were scattered everywhere on the dining area floor, right up to the floor down the split level where my computer is. Oh I tell you, I was boiling mad again. The melamine bowl cracked and I threw it away. I made Sher pick up all the pine nuts from the floor. While she was picking up the pine nuts, Sher kept saying "mummy, I am good girl". Then she pestered me for more pine nuts.... "mummy, I want some more pine nuts, I want some more pine nuts, some more pine nuts, mummy some more pine nuts....." She went on and on until I went nuts hearing the words pine nuts!!

All the running around, yelling, carrying Baby C, feeding Baby C her meds and supplements (which is a back-breaking task coz it ain't easy to make her swallow those yucky stuff) and doing some household chores made me all sweaty though I had taken my shower when I came back from my jogging session this morning. I took my shower again after lunch.

Sherilyn picking up the spilt pine nuts, with Alycia helping her clean up the mess.

Oh yes, Sherilyn had another wee wee accident 2 days ago and this time, it was a BIG accident coz daddy had forgotten to put on a diaper for her and she messed up everything on the bed!

Nature's Own Colostrum Tabs

Hubby bought this bottle of colostrum tabs for Alycia and Sherilyn the other day. Did they like it? Find out in my new health blog.

Fruitful Day

I haven't had a fruitful day for a long time. Today, I managed to complete 12 paid posts and 3 non-paid posts! It wasn't easy for me as most of my time now is spent caring for Baby C. My time on the computer has been slashed by more than half ever since Baby C was born. I can only work when she's asleep and luckily Baby C slept continuously for 2 hours this afternoon. During that time, I worked my brain and my hands at full steam! It's 12:45am now. I'd just taken a 1 hour nap a while ago when I dozed off whilst nursing Baby C to sleep. I should hit the sack now. Gotta wake up early tomorrow for my running session.

Battle Of The Bulge

Many people have been telling me that I don’t look like a mother of 3 kids. They tell me that I still look slim and young! But what they have not seen is my bulging belly. Though I exercise every single day, that stubborn bulge is just not budging and that is driving me crazy. I can’t go on a diet now as I am still breastfeeding Baby C exclusively. One of my friends suggested that I pop some diet pills later but I ain’t going to touch that stuff just yet. Hopefully once I stop breastfeeding and reduce my food and milk intake, the bulge will go down too.

Alycia And Her Abacus

When Alycia was first taught abacus in pre-school last year, she was totally lost. So was I because I was never taught abacus during my time. In Alycia's case, she had a hard time catching up as she had missed her classes almost the whole of last year when she kept falling ill every month. Thankfully she managed to catch up this year and now, she has no problem using the abacus to do her Math.

Alycia did this abacus calculation homework almost all by herself, with me guiding her when she was stuck.

How Can Anyone Sleep In This Position?

... but my brat slept oh so soundly, without any fear that she would fall off the chairs. Continue reading here.

Vanilla Ice-Cream Sandwich

Doesn't this bring back sweet old memories? I remember buying ice cream sandwiched in a bun (which only cost 50 cents then) when I was little when the ice cream man on a tricycle came ringing his bell peddling his ice creams. And they tasted heavenly! There wasn't a thought of guilt and fear that my weight would shoot up after gorging on the sinful treat. That's the fun thing of being a kid - you just eat whatever you fancy and don't have to worry about that darn waist line or bulging belly. Now, before anything goes into my mouth, I have to think twice first!

So, can you guess who ate this sinful vanilla ice-cream sandwiched between 2 slices of white bread for breakfast yesterday? Of course it's not me though I'd love to sink my teeth in them. Of course it's not my gals either. It's my maid. I gave her half a tub of vanilla ice cream and she finished off the ice cream with bread for breakfast yesterday!

Baby C 'Eats' Her Fruits

If you have a baby, it's really a good idea that you buy a food feeder to feed your baby food and fruits, to prevent choking. Read how Baby C ate her apple from a food feeder at my other blog.

Dinner At Prince Hotel

We had dinner at the Chinese Restaurant of Prince Hotel on Sunday with hubby's relatives. There is currently a 50% discount off ala carte menus promotion going on.

We ordered a whole Peking duck and had the duck eaten in 2 varieties. First, we ate the crispy duck skin with spring onions and sweet sauce wrapped with an egg sheet. The duck meat was then used to cook stir-fried noodles.

Yam basket, which was very tasty.

Sweet and spicy diced chicken breast on hot plate.

Grilled cod fish

and 2 varieties of stir-fried veggie.

The desserts were really good. We had mango pudding with mango sauce, sago and shaved ice,

Kwai leng koa (Herbal jelly) with fresh sea coconut and sago.

And this is one of the tastiest desserts I had ever eaten - white almond milk double boiled in a young coconut, served with 'lui sar tong yuen' (black sesame seed paste filled glutinous rice balls)

This bowl of carbo tasty heavenly. Anyone would just forget about their diet plan and bulging belly when they taste this! I want more now!!

Sherilyn And Baby C

Last week, Sherilyn skipped school for several days as she had a bad runny nose with lotsa worm-like goo shooting out and a chesty cough. When she was at home, it was hard to separate her from Baby C coz Sher is really fond of her baby sister. Anyway, Sher still touched her baby sister and when I wasn't looking, even kissed baby :S

When I was busy with other chores, Sher helped me entertain Baby C by singing to her...

... and Baby C simply adores Sherilyn cheh cheh too. In fact, she really loves to be in the company of both her cheh chehs. She would give me a wide grin whenever she hears her 2 boisterous sisters' voice, laughter and screams when she had just gotten up from her nap. She would also squeal and scream to draw her sisters' attention. It is really heart-warming to see the 3 girls enjoying each other's company.

Baby, crawl to cheh cheh... come on....

On a side note, we had a sumptuous dinner at Prince Hotel last night. I had one of the best desserts I have ever tasted! Go check out my other blog to find out!

Simple To Prepare Cucumber Appetiser

We were served with this cold Japanese cucumber dish as appetiser at Tin Tai Fung Chinese Restaurant the other day. Though cucumber is quite a tasteless food, the way this dish was prepared made the cucumber really tasty. The sliced cucumbers tasted sweet, a tad spicy and aromatic (from the sesame seed oil), cold, crunchy and whet one's appetite easily. I think the ingredients used to marinate the sliced cucumbers are sesame seed oil, a dash of salt, some fried garlic and some red cut chillies... and in go the sliced cucumbers into the fridge. This appetiser is best served chilled. I am going to try this dish coz it's not fattening, is quite a healthy dish and fills you up too!

My Little Bathroom Singer

My brat told me the other day that she wanted to poo poo, so I brought her to the bathroom downstairs and I went back to the living room to be with Baby C. I could hear Sher singing away and I wasn't surprise coz she has always been an avid singer. When she told me she was finished with her poopie business, I went to the bathroom and saw her holding the water faucet and singing away like this :

This brat had in the past spoilt the water faucets and shower faucets in our bathrooms downstairs and upstairs countless times. This brat of mine is ever full of energy and ideas. Even when she does her business or takes her shower, she can't sit or stand still and must surely be up to something to keep herself entertained and occupied!

Alycia's First Ballet Concert

After 8 months of ballet lessons, Alycia will be participating in her first ballet concert tomorrow. I have to wake my poor baby up at 8am on a Sunday morning and get her all ready and dressed up and she has to reach the ballet studio by 8:30am. The teachers will then put on make-up for the ballerinas and other performers. There will be another round of rehearsal before the actual concert starts at 10am. I really want to watch my baby perform in her maiden concert, her very first time performing in a concert and I am sure she will look really cute in her ballet costume but it's just too troublesome to bring Baby C along. I am very sure other parents will be annoyed when Baby C fusses or cries in the studio. So I'll just have to give it a pass this time and make hubby snap lots of pictures of my baby's first concert!
