Cheese Crackers Again

We were shopping for groceries at Village Grocer last week and I saw this fish shaped cheese crackers on sale. Though we still have a few boxes of unopened cheese crackers at home, but I couldn't resist buying something that's on sale. Wanted to grab 2 packs but since I've not tried it yet, just took 1. This pack of fish shaped cheese crackers is still not opened yet and Alycia has been bugging me to open it. I hope the gals won't get throat ulcer again after eating crackers.

New Disney Tumbler

During her last trip back to KL, my sil from HK had bought only one Disney Minnie Mouse water tumbler and since Sherilyn saw it first, she managed to grab the tumbler. During the most recent trip back, my sil bought another Disney water tumbler and this time it's a Mickey Mouse for Alycia. The gals are really lucky to have aunties in HK and other countries. They get the most gifts when their aunties visit them.

New Pajamas For Sherilyn

I got 2 sets of new pajamas for the gals a couple of weeks back. One has a picture of a cat on it and the other has a picture of a girl on it. I gave the cat pajamas to Sherilyn and the girl pajamas to Alycia. However after they had put on the new pajamas, Alycia insisted that she wants the cat pajamas too. A tug of war over the cat pajamas ensued and Alycia ended up crying for a good 1 hour until she fell asleep. After that tug of war episode, I hid the 2 sets of pajamas and promised Alycia that she will have the 2 new sets of pajamas since they are a little oversized for Sherilyn. I also promised Sherilyn that I will buy her another set of pajamas. I finally managed to get Sherilyn her new Barney pajamas from Toys R Us last week. Now, the gals are happy wearing their new pajamas. Kids' clothes are really expensive these days. This Barney pajamas cost RM36 and definitely way more expensive than my own Jusco and pasar malam nighties!

I Don't Want To Wear Diapers

For the past few days, Sherilyn refused to wear her diapers during her afternoon nap. She would struggle and protest when I tried to put the diaper on her. I think she's ready to wean herself off diapers. But lazy mummy me isn't ready, especially during the night time as I just don't have the energy and enthusiasm to pull her up a few times in a night to pee in a potty. I think I'll give myself till the first quarter of next year to train both the gals to go totally diaperless.

Finally Recovered All My Lost Posts

Yes, I did and I must thank this brilliant lady who is my lucky shining star! How can I not think of recovering my posts from my own Google Reader or some other bloggers' Google Reader? Not only did this wonderful lady help me recover my post and emailed them to me, she even helped me to re-submit the URLs of the rejected posts (that were initially missing) to 3P as I could not log in to 3P the whole of today.

I've now added my own Feed to my Google Reader and from there, I could see all my lost posts. I now have to copy and paste these posts back to my blog and email the advertisers informing them of my problem, together with the new URL of the posts.

The past 1 week was really terrible for me. I've been cracking my head trying to recover my lost posts and had spent so much time in front of the PC till my head now hurts badly and I feel so exhausted.

Now, I have a phobia of loosing my posts. I've created many layers of back-ups and hey, if you hacker want to hack my blog and posts again, you better watch out. There's no way you can bring me down. I've got someone up there watching over me and sending me guardians to help me all the time.

Once again, I want to thank Hui Sia for her help in solving my problem and to Mamabok in offering her kind help to re-write my lost paid posts.

Bad Headache

I'm having a bad headache now. Must be caused by the stress of thinking about all my lost posts from my own domain blog. I just can't believe that this lousy incompetent host, E, did not have a back up of those lost posts. I just feel like giving up on those lost posts and let the advertisers reject my posts and just forget about the money. One nice blogger has offered her help to re-write the posts for me. Maybe I should accept her offer and find a way to repay her kindness rather than get all stressed up thinking about those lost posts.

Text Link Ads and Banner Ads

The Google Ads on my side bar have been there for more than 6 months and it's a real pathetic that the amount has not even reached USD100. Same goes for my Auction Ads, I think I don't even see a dollar in my account. I think they are more like ornaments in my blog rather than money-making avenues. Since most of these ads on my side bar are not generating much revenue to me, I'm really considering removing them from my blog.

Tell me, how much have you earned from these side bar ads?

Deepavali Hamper From My Neighbor

My Sikh family neighbor gave me a basket of goodies this evening. When she called me, I was so hoping that she would give me some piping hot tosei or chapatti with her aromatic curry which has always caused my tummy to rumble when the aroma of her cooking wafted to my house. I was really disappointed that there were not Indian cuisine in the basket. Nevertheless, there were some peaches and fragrant pears and 3 jars of goodies in the basket - a jar of London Almond cookies, a jar of bees' hives cookies and a jar of muruku. Yay, I saw muruku, something that I have wanted to eat for a long long time and the last I ate them was years ago. Nevermind, no curry but there's muruku, yum!

I'm Craving For Banana Muffins

As I was in the shower a moment ago, I suddenly had a craving for banana muffins. Why? That's because my yohurt hair conditioner smelled of banana muffin. I know I'm going to be thinking of banana muffins the whole night long and I'm so going to ask hubby to get me a couple of them tomorrow morning. Luckily I have some banana flavored fresh milk in the fridge which can temporarily satisfy my craving!

Decaffeinated Coffee

This is the decaffeinated coffee that I drink each time I am pregnant. I alternate between Milo with skim milk and decaffeinated coffee with skim milk each morning. I used to drink Anmum and Enfamama during both my previous pregnancies but not at all this time. Some gynaes say these mama milk formula are only for those who are not eating well and if you're eating well, there's no need to drink them. What beverages do you drink when you're preggers?

Unable To Recover Lost Posts

I am really disappointed and dissatisfied with my host. They are unable to recover a single post that were lost from my blog. I have spent the last few days counting how many posts I have lost and so far, more than 30 posts were lost (I think there are more) and most were unapproved and unpaid paid posts. So you go figure how much money I'm going to loose all because this incapable and lousy host did not back up my posts. My head is really throbbing today and each time I discover another paid post that's lost, my head and heart hurt even more. In order to save my money from going down the drain, I think I now have to re-write and re-submit all those posts that were lost, but tell me, where on earth am I going to find the time in such a short time? What the fun.... doing double work and wasting all my time and energy. If someone had hacked my blog, all I can say is 'you wait and see, what comes around goes around'.

If you're looking for a good website that can help you back-up your blog posts for free, check out BlogBackUpOnline.com. Thank God they managed to recover the lost posts from my Blogspot blog. The person handling my case even offered to call me but in the end, we just communicated via Google chat. They are very professional and prompt in handling my case. I'd like to give them a big thumbs up.

School Holidays

Alycia's school will be closed tomorrow and on Friday for the Deepavali holidays. It's going to be a short school break for Alycia, which is good for her and me as I don't have to wake her up so early, and I will have an hour extra to do my work in the morning.

Next week will be the start of the long school holidays. On Thursday, there is a children's day pot-luck party and on Friday, there will be a Parents-Teachers Day. Her pre-school has holiday programs for kids ranging from Drama and Speech class, cooking and science class, art class and much more. It's about RM200+ a month per subject. I'm keen to send her to these classes so that she will not play till she becomes a lazy bum, which happens most of the time. There is also a visit to the Yakult factory on the 21st of November.

Most Expensive Bread I've Ever Eaten

The other day, sil got us a loaf of bread from Bangsar Village. It's a Japanese bread and it cost RM18 for a long loaf. You can also get half a loaf at RM9. It's one of the most expensive breads I've ever eaten but I must say it tasted really good - creamy and tasty. You can even eat it own its own without putting any jam or ham on it. This bread is also available outside Jaya Jusco at Mid Valley. Alycia and Sher call this 'cake bread' as it tastes a tad like cake too.

Post Amniocentesis - Day 1

After the Amnio procedure yesterday, I had expected some cramping, spotting or perhaps a leak in amniotic fluid but thank God, I have not experienced any of these yet and I hope I will never experience them. I am taking everything very slowly - walk slow, sit or lie down most of the time and I let my maid handle the kids. I have another appointment to see my gynae tomorrow and I hope everything inside looks fine. The hardest part now is waiting for the results, which will only be out in 2 weeks.

Tag : My Travel Fantasy

This mummy would like to know my travel fantasy. Well, if I have enough money, I would really love to visit Japan and eat the freshest raw fish, scallops and sea urchins, have a skiing trip in Switzerland, bring the kids to Disneyland in Orlando (so much have been written on this place LOL!) or Disneyland in Hong Kong not forgetting an Alaskan cruise.

Not tagging anyone this time.

Amniocentesis Experience

Had my Amnio done today. It wasn't as painful as I had imagined but the fear and worry were definietly greater than anything else. The preparation before the Amnio took about 15-20 minutes. There were just so many sterile equipment used and I was covered by a sterile green cloth. I felt as if I was in the OT and it was also freezing cold in the room. I was trembling away, both in cold and in fear.

My gyane cleaned my belly with many layers of antiseptic wash. The needle used to poke my belly was as fine as a strand of hair and it was long too. When my gynae poked it in, I felt a sudden tingling and mild cramp inside my tummy, near the womb area. What was only about 3-5 minutes felt like an hour when he was aspirating the amniotic fluid from the sac. I saw my baby on the screen, moving about and I was terribly worried that it might get poked by the needle. I was really worried and felt really tensed. 2 syringes of yellow colored fluid was aspirated out. Throughout the procedure, my gynae kept asking his assistant to pour saline and sterile water on my belly.

After the Amnio, I had to lie on the bed for an hour. My gynae has advised me to lie down for the next 2 days to reduce the risk of a miscarriage. So, I have to put blogging on hold and take a good rest for the next 2 days. Sorry if I've not been visiting your blog.

That's How Sherilyn Eats Her Medicine

One spoonfull of ice cream followed by one sip of medicine, that's how Sherilyn eats her medicine. As long as she eats her medicine and does not put up a fuss or puke, I'll let her have any treats from cakes to crackers, but her all-time favorite is still ice cream. Now, the gals love falling ill coz that's the time mummy would let them indulge in all these sweet treats.

Our Sunday

It's a day of non-stop eating for us today. We had Dim Sum at Imbi Palace for lunch. When we got home, my parents from Ipoh arrived. They will be flying off to China tomorrow. My dad bought some famous Ipoh hawkers' food for us and we all ate again. Tonight, we'll be having dinner at the Japanese restaurant at Shangri La Hotel since sil will return to Hong Kong tomorrow.

I didn't do much blogging today. I spent all the time that I have checking all my unapproved posts by 3P and other networks to ensure that the posts are still in my blog. I had asked the host for my own blog to check if they have the lost posts backed up in their system but the hopeless host asked me to check them myself from my Cpanel. It is impossible for a person who is not IT savant to comprehend those IT jargons, codes and language. I get really pissed off with them. Every single request to them has always been tai chied back to me. I just have a feeling I will not be able to recover all my lost posts. My only hope now is that after the computer guy re-installs the IE old version into my PC, my posts will re-appear again.

I still have a few outstanding paid posts and I doubt I will have the time to complete them by tomorrow (the due date) as I'll be going for my Amnio test tomorrow. Moreover, I feel so down and just don't have the mood to write. The ideas just don't seem to flow. Guess I will have to let the tasks expire.

Big Pee Mess

Alycia made a huge mess yesterday when she accidentally peed on the mattress during her afternoon nap. She can normally hold her bladder for at least 2 - 2.5 hours during her afternoon nap but yesterday, I guess she must have been too exhausted since we were out for lunch. Her bolster, pillows, bedsheet and the new mattress were soaked with her pee. I even had to discard a new pillow as it was drippling with her pee. Though there was a layer of plastic mat beneath her and another layer of plastic sheet beneath the bedsheet, everything still got drenched. Her output must be a heavy one! I think plastic sheets and mats are not good enough. I should revert to disposable water-proof papers from Pureen as they absorb water which plastic sheets don't. My maid has to do do a major laundry session today!
