My 2 Lil' Ballerinas

With Sherilyn now learning ballet too, I will have 2 ballerinas girls soon. Read the rest of the story here.

Busy And Stressful Life
Next battle is to get my 2 older gals to take their afternoon nap... which also takes a great amount of coaxing and threats on some days. When they are up from their nap, it's time for their homework. Whenever I coach Alycia in her homework, Sherilyn would keep interrupting by asking me loads of questions. She would also take out her school books and though she doesn't have much homework, she would scribble and doodle on her books. It's really difficult to control her when I am in the midst of coaching Alycia... with Baby C on my lap!
In between all these, I still have to nurse Baby C and try putting her to nap. These days, this Energizer Bunny doesn't nap for long. Can you believe that today she only napped for an hour? She doesn't even want to take her mid-morning nap and only napped an hour at 2pm today. Whenever she doesn't nap, it spells trouble for me as I won't be able to do anything, except entertain her and watch over her like a hawk if she's put on the floor to crawl. I even have to hold a spatula with one hand to cook and carry her with another hand on some days.
After all the morning and afternoon chaos ends, it's time for me to supervise my maid to cook dinner. I have to stand next to her each time she cooks. Though she has worked for us for 10 months, she still fails in her cooking.
Dinner time spells stress for me again. I can't even have a decent meal as I will be feeding Baby C her dinner and eating my dinner simultaneously. Baby C wouldn't sit still in her high chair and I need to distract her with a host of activities. Next, I have to keep reminding Sherilyn to chew and swallow her food, chase her round the house with a cane as she would be running about with her mouth full of food and dropping food everywhere on the floor.
After dinner time, it's bath time again for my 3 monkeys and the whole process as described above repeats. And after bath time, it's bed time. By the time my 3 monkeys are fast asleep, I am drop dead exhausted but I still pull myself up from bed to get some work done on the computer. After getting my work done on the computer for about an hour or lesser, I can't even have a good night's sleep as I will be waking up every 2 hours to change Baby C's diaper and sniff her soiled diaper to see if her pee smells foul or not. If it smells foul and looks yellowish, it spells trouble and stress for me again for it means she has gotten attacked by bacteria again. Sigh..... ain't my life stressful? No fun being a mother right? I just CAN'T WAIT for my 3 girls to GROW UP!

Baby C's Another 'Terrorizer'

It's barely a month after Christmas and Baby C's Christmas pressie from daddy is already broken... and she bit it to bits! Whenever I wasn't looking, her 2 cheh chehs would give the clip fan to her and of course this little terrorizer put it into her mouth to chew.... in fact she puts everything into her mouth these days, just like a puppy who loves chewing and tearing things!

Healthy Lunch Box

Purple seedless grapes, sweet navel oranges, My Melody shaped and Pooh Bear shaped sandwiches with organic black sesame bread spread and kaya. Though the food was very little, Alycia my slow eater could only finish the sandwiches during her recess. She finished the fruits in the hospital. We had to bring Baby C to SJMC yesterday and Aly and Sher had to tag along.

Since Sherilyn was still having high fever, she skipped school again. I prepared some sandwiches for her too but the cute shaped sandwiches did not whet her appetite at all. These 3 cutie sandwiches went into my tummy.

What a waste if I were to throw the odds and ends and skin into the bin right? So I wiped off the plate of leftover bread. I don't normally eat white bread coz they are fattening but I'm the type who hates to see food go to waste. So you see, that's why I'm still carrying my jelly belly though Baby C is already 9 months, haiz....

Asparagus Beans

I was at the organic veggie section of Jaya Grocers at Jaya 33, PJ the other day and a lady who was promoting organic veggie recommended me to buy a pack of asparagus beans, which I did. The next day, I stir-fried the beans with some minced pork and garlic. It tasted really good - very crunchy, sweet and fresh. The asparagus beans look very much like french beans, but they are fatter and the color is greener than french beans. I shall buy them again the next time I shop for organic veggies.

Getting Some Peace Of Mind Whilst I Eat

The other day, Baby C did something really cute. As she chewed on her teething rusk, she kept 'calling' Alycia cheh cheh by making "aaah... aaaah...." sounds and reaching out to her cheh cheh with the rusk. I guess she wanted to share her rusk with cheh cheh. Alycia who adores her baby sister to bits was head over heels when she saw her baby sister calling out to her... and she ran to baby and kissed her.... and baby 'shared' the rusk with her.

View From Our Condo

View at sunset, at around 7pm.

View at around 8pm
I actually like photography and if I have the money to splurge, I'd definitely buy a more expensive camera with multiple functions and then pursue my hobby by snapping pix away!

Homecooked Dishes And Salisbury Steak
Stir-fried baby bok choi with garlic, steam fish, pan-fried Salisbury steak burger and chicken chop (frozen and left over from New Year's Eve party, which I just reheated them in the microwave oven)
I ate half the piece of beef burger coz I was famished and couldn't wait haha....
BTW, this beef burger which tastes like steak is one of the best frozen off-the-shelf I've ever tasted. It's free from MSG, artificial coloring and artificial flavoring but tastes damn good. I am going to stock up my freezer with this beef burger!

Indulging In Fast Food
Several weeks ago, I felt like eating KFC for lunch. So daddy brought us all to the Kuchai Lama KFC outlet. This KFC outlet is situated within walking distance next to a Pizza Hut. This is what we ate :
Deep fried potato wedges with very creamy and cheese sauce. I love the cheese on the potato wedges but daren't indulge in more than 3 wedges as they are darn fattening - they are laden with calories, oil, fat and carbo.
Alycia and Sherilyn had nuggets, burger, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Alycia who has a sweet tooth loved the soft drink which I controlled her intake as soft drinks are laden with sugar and the acid can corrode the teeth enamel. Thankfully Sherilyn didn't like the fizzy drink and she 'tar lan chang' (shivered) when she drank a sip haha!
Daddy then walked over to Pizza Hut (which is adjacent to KFC) and bought some desserts - ice cream with loads of fattening whipped cream and a dunno what mango or passion fruit smoothie which wasn't smooth at all as the shaved ice was too rough.
How could daddy not buy any toy for his 2 princesses? He bought them 2 Nicklelodean cartoon digital watches, which Alycia and Sher were obsessed with for 1 week+ and now they are no where in sight.
Problem With Alycia And My Maid
Not a day goes by without Alycia arguing and quarelling with my maid. She would resist my maid when my maid raises her voice on her. Alycia would scream at my maid when my maid tells her what to do or stops her from doing anything. Alycia just hates it when my maid disciplines her. There was a point of time recently when Alycia kept asking me to send kakak back to Indon, that's how much she hates my maid. Each day when Alycia quarels with my maid, I get really stressed up, mad and upset. The deafening sound of them quareling or arguing can drive me out of the house, which I had done so before. My gastric juice and my headache would start to creep out each time I hear them squabbling. I have enough of problems and worries with Baby C's health issues and with them bickering constantly and Alycia rejecting my maid each time she tries to shower her, brush her teeth, comb her hair, dress her up, etc it's enough to drive me insane, really. I try to shower Alycia whenever I can but when Baby C sticks on to me like a leech, I will have no choice but enlist the help of my maid to handle my kids, which the kids hates.
I've talked to both my maid and Alycia many times telling them that they have to cooperate and be nice to each other but to no avail. My maid is quite a stubborn and childish person, so is Alycia. But oh well, she's only a 5 year old child. I really don't know how to deal with both of them. They are really driving me nuts.

Chicken Floss Swiss Roll

Chicken floss coated buns and chicken floss coated doughnuts are quite common these days but have you tried chicken floss coated swiss rolls? The other day hubby bought one to try from RT Pastry House, our favorite bakery. The verdict? I still prefer the good old pandan swiss roll with kaya. It tasted kinda funny to have salty chicken floss on something sweet. Definitely not to my liking but for chicken floss lovers, I think they will love this combination.

Our Saturday
I am still not feeling 100% well. After drinking some winter melon soup this evening, I felt like puking and am still feeling nauseous.... and my tummy felt and still feels like a balloon that's being deflated. I have been having a very gassy tummy lately and would get tummy ache whenever I am angry or get stressed up with my kids. I hope things get better when school reopens next week, otherwise, I may have to send both my older gals to the daycare center at their preschool. I hardly have time for them lately coz most of my time has been spent with Baby C. You know how much time is needed to care for a baby, what more a high-maintenance and high-demand baby. From morning till night, my day is spent feeding her and she clings on to me like a leech! Ok, nuf said. I better shut down my PC and go to bed now. Got to wake up early for church tomorrow.

Baby C Loves Shaking Her Head
The other day, Baby C was licking the railing of her cot away. When I shoke my head and told her "no, no, no, don't lick the cot baby", she also immitated me and shoke her head. Alycia and Sher also shoke their heads and Baby C shoke her head even more.... and all 3 of them giggled away.

My 3 angels shaking their heads away....
