Another Samseng In The Making

What's it with this tunnel that most kids love eh? Daddy bought this tunnel for Aly and Sher last year. My kids love it but it takes up a lot of space in our living room, so I would keep it in the storeroom once the kids are done playing with it. I don't know where we are going to keep this tunnel when we move to our new condo at the end of this month. We may have to give away either this tunnel or one of the 2 tents (a school bus tent and a school tent) that Aly and Sher have. Hopefully there will be enough space to store Aly and Sher's toys in our new condo.

"Come, come, come baby....." Sher encouraging baby to crawl inside the tent... which she did...

and she landed on her side, but didn't cry.... tough nut!

Baby trying to crawl into the tunnel with Sherilyn cheh cheh...

Another samseng in the making, with training from the chief samseng, Sherilyn cheh cheh lol!
The experts say that a good physical program (creeping, crawling, rolling, swinging baby upside down like a pendulum, etc.) is very important in the development of a baby's brain, so I have a good teacher here for Baby C!

I Miss Watching TV

My aunties are crazy chasing after the latest Hong Kong drama series Moonlight Resonance on Astro. Many bloggers are crazy over this drama too. I know I would too had I got the time to watch TV. I hardly have the time to watch TV now. I can't even remember when the last time was that I watched TV, for more than an hour. I can’t wait for my kids to grow up so that I can have back some me time to watch TV. I can be really addicted to watching the TV you know, just like how some people can be addicted to the latest playstation 3. Before my 3 brats came along, I can just lie down on the couch from dawn till dusk watching TV on weekends. Oh how I miss those care-free days!

Four More Kilograms

We normally have cakes for desserts after our dinner on Wednesdays. That’s because Alycia has her ballet class on Wednesday evenings and after her class, daddy will bring her to our favorite bakery to buy cakes, buns and bread. Last night, daddy bought my favorite pandan layer cake. I was terribly tempted to sink my teeth into the moist and creamy cake but with strong determination, I managed to resist the temptation. Eating deseserts at night is surely going to thwart my weight lost plan. I still have 4kg of stubborn fat to shed to reach my pre-Baby C weight, mostly on my belly and even with exercise, the bulge ain’t going to budge. I hope I don’t have to get the
best fat burners to help me get rid of this bulge. I wonder why the last few kgs are always so difficult to shed.

My Tuesday

I couldn't blog for almost the whole of today when my darn monitor konked off. Hubby then brought his spare monitor from his office for me. After fixing the spare monitor, the darn CPU acted strangely and keeps shutting down by itself every 15 minutes. I am speed thinking and typing here to beat the timeline coz very soon, it will auto shut-down again, aarggh.....!!

We made a trip to Baby Loft again today. I quickly fed Sherilyn lunch after she came back from pre-school. This brat has been very, very, very whiny and fussy lately.... drives me bonkers! She cries everyday over the slightest things! Anyway, Alycia came back later as she had Mandarin enrichment class today. So I prepared her lunch in a lunch box and she ate in the car, on our way to Baby Loft, which is quite a distance from where we stay.

This is what we bought from Baby Loft :

I swear by this tea.... it has helped me successfully breastfeed Baby C for 6 months+ and I plan to breastfeed her for as long as I can still produce milkie for my darling!

A bed railing for the gals' new bed in our new condo....

Also bought another Diva Mama breastfeeding spaghetti strap top and new teething rings for Baby C again.... stay tuned to see what I bought Baby C!

Ok, gotta publish this post before it is gone when my darn CPU shuts down again!!

Clean Up, Clean Up...

Alycia and Sherilyn's preschool is closed today because of the school concert and students graduation held last Saturday. They have been driving me up the wall the whole morning with their incessant fights and "I don't friend you" quarrels, whims and fancies. I was scolding Alycia and Sherilyn a moment ago for tearing up the styrofoam handbag that Sher's teacher made for her on Friday. My 2 rascals tore up the styrofoam handbag into pieces and strew the pieces of styrofoam everywhere on the floor of the living room. I told them that when baby crawls on the floor later and sees the styrofoam pieces, she will definitely put them into her mouth. I then asked them to pick up every single piece of styrofoam from the floor.... which they did. As Sher was picking up the mess, she sang this song :

Clean up, clean up, everybody everyone...
Clean up, clean up everybody do their part....

over and over again, until she picked up every piece of styrofoam from the floor, went to the kitchen and threw them into the bin.

This is a song sang by Barney and its friends.... and they have been watching this series everyday for the past 1 week.

When I heard Sher singing this song, the anger inside me doused off.... like fire doused off by water.... and I was chuckling as she sang the 'Clean Up' song away.

Made In China Products

Hubby bought a packet of chinese chestnuts from a supermarket the other day. We all love to eat chinese chestnuts but when I checked the country of origin on the packaging, it read "Product of China". Since the melamine contamination scare, I am very wary of buying food stuff made in China. I told hubby about it but he seemed very blase about it and happily opened the packet of chestnuts and finished it! I ate 1 chestnut too but dared not eat further, though it tasted really good.

Would you dare to buy food stuff made in China or originate from China now? It's really very difficult to avoid China made products coz many food stuff that we eat everyday originate from China, eg. red dates, wolfberries, chinese herbs, foo yee and nam yee (fermented bean curd), Chinese cooking wine, mandarin oranges, lychees, longans, among others. Early this year, I had read from the newspapers that red dates from China were found to contain sulphur and some were found to be bleached with red dye. Even if we don't buy China food stuff, restaurants are still using these food items and if we eat in Chinese restaurants or 'tai chau' (hawkers), we are still consuming these food stuff that originate from China. I was told by a relative that yeast from China (imported by Malaysia) was also found to contain melamine or other toxic stuff. I also read from the newspapers that the Singapore government has also banned Cadbury Eclaire chocolate candies and other well-known brands of milk powder.

My Sunday

I had a good time laughing at my own carelessness and silliness in church today. Find out what happened at my other blog.

Here are some pix of Baby C playing with her 2 cheh chehs :

Alycia hugged her baby sister so tightly that baby fell...

Alycia's Pre-School Concert

Today is Alycia's maiden participation in her pre-school concert. Hop over to my other blog to continue reading.

Baby C's New Peg-Perego Stroller

I got a big surprise last night when hubby came home with a new Peg-Perego stroller for Baby C. I was a tad disappointed coz it wasn't a jogging stroller, but still it was way better than our exsiting beat-up stroller, which is almost 4 years old. The Peg-Perego stroller has many functions, which I have to spend some time to read up the manual to study the functions and to find out where the buttons are. What I like about this stroller is that the baby can be placed facing 2 directions, facing me and vice-versa.

The stroller comes with a mozzie net. Sherilyn as usual, curious as she could be, climbed on the stroller whilst daddy zipped up the mozzie net. However, her legs were too long for the stroller and the mozzie net and almost ripped the net apart!

This morning Baby C woke up very early and I brought her jogging along with me. I didn't use the new stroller coz too sayang to use the brand new and sparkling clean stroller.

The new Peg-Perego stroller cost RM1,700 but hubby bought it at around RM1,400 after a discount. Hubby asked about the jogging stroller and did not buy it when he found out that it cost a whopping RM3,000+!

I intend to sell this Peg-Perego at half price or lesser in 3-4 years' time. Till then, I shall blog about the sale of this stroller in my blog :)

Seriously Crazy Over This Seriously Mature Cheddar Cheese

Hubby bought this Scottish cheese from Jaya Jusco last week.... and I am crazy over this cheddar cheese. If you are a cheese lover, try this cheese. The taste is not too strong (unlike Blue Cheese which taste horrible to me, like baby's regurgitated milk, eeeuuuuuu!) and just right for my tastebud. Goes very well with crackers or toast or even on its own. Today, I tried another brand of cheese which my relative bought. It cost over RM17 for one roundish wedge and it has brandy, nuts and dried fruits in it. I've never seen or tasted this kinda cheese before. It tasted exactly like cheese cake and I love it! I want to go and get a wedge for myself too when I next go to Jaya Jusco.

Baby C Is 6 Months Old Today

Happy 6 months old darling baby Cassandra. Very soon, you will be blowing your first candle on your birthday cake. Hopefully with God's grace, you will outgrow your Kidney Reflux very soon. Read on here...

In a cheeky and jovial mood...

Baby C Hates The High Chair

... and it ain't no cheapskate high chair yer know, it's an expensive Safe n Sound high chair with colorful seat pad, adjustable to 3 levels, a chair that Alycia and Sher once sat on but this fussy baby just hates it. Maybe it's because she feels hot sitting on the plastic seat and she hates being belted up and confined to it. She would whine, struggle, try to wriggle her way out of the belt and arch her back each time she is placed on the high chair.

So I have now put the highchair aside.... colorful plastic seat also removed....

...carried the playpen from the living room up to the dining room, next to the dining table and put baby inside so that I can have my meals with a peace of mind....

but I can't keep this fussy baby in this cage for long, else she would whine and fuss again.

Baby C's Crib Lowered

Just want to put on record before I forget.... today daddy lowered Baby C's crib to the middle notch. For the past 1 to 2 weeks, she has been trying to pull herself up by pulling the railings of the crib and the cot bumper. Many times, she was so near to doing forward rolls or somersaults and I am just freaking worried that she may toss herself out from the crib! Baby C reminds me of Alycia and Sher when they were a baby - very, very active, tough and samseng.... and the 3 of them have boundless energy... and don't sleep a lot too!

I even have trouble putting on a diaper for Baby C as she would be tossing and turning and struggling. My hands have to move at lighting speed to fasten the tapes before she arches her back or flips over. I will have sweat all over my body each time I bathe her or put a diaper on her.

Picture taken last week - Baby C crawling on my bed from one end to another. She was eyeing the bed railing and when she reached the bed railing, she kept scratching and licking the netting. Aaargghhh.... this is the stage where I have to be extra cautious and watch her like a hawk, else I will have many heart attack moments when I see tissue papers or pencils or other non-edible stuff in her mouth!

Even barricading the bed with pillows and bolsters is useless now. My samseng knows how to crawl over them.

Find out the results of Baby C's latest urine culture here.

Cheap And Nice

You wouldn't believe how cheap these sports socks are. They only cost 99 sen a pair! Dirt cheap hor? I bought them from Giant and the quality is really good, just as good if not even better than socks worth RM9.99 a pair. I should have bought 20 pairs since I jog everyday had I known that the quality is so good. That's why I like 'house' brand products - they are cheap and good!

No one would have guessed that this pair of socks costs only 99 sen right? Looks nice on my legs eh?

Panasonic Water Filter

We bought an expensive health-enhancing water filter 2 weeks ago, in the hope that Baby C will not have another UTI attack and our 2 older gals won't fall sick so frequently. People say that the cleanliness and purity of our drinking water is very important in preventing ailments. That's why Diamond and Elken came out with their own brands of health-enhancing water filters which are really costly.

To those of you who have a health-enhancing water filter fitted at home, I have a few questions to ask you. Please hop over to my health blog.
