I Need Closed Captioning and Subtitling Done To My VCDs

I really need closed captioning and subtitling done to some of the Korean movies and Thai horror movies VCDs that hubby bought recently. I like watching these Korean love drama and horror movies but I have no idea what the actors are talking about. It’s a wonder how my hubs can watch these movies with such excitement, as if he understood every word spoken by the actors.

I Am Paranoid Of Trimming My Baby’s Nails

Can you beat it that up until today, I still have beads of cold sweat dripping down my forehead whenever I trim my kids’ finger and toe nails, especially Baby C’s tiny fingers? I am paranoid of accidentally cutting their delicate skin as well. I used to delegate this ‘chore’ to the hubs but lately he’s been really busy, so I had to take on the ‘chore’ myself. Perhaps I should get myself a pair of Rubis Baby Safety Scissors that are designed specifically to take care of baby’s tender fingers and toes. It’s time I rid myself of this phobia.

Disney Pencil Box

My sil bought a Disney pencil box but she only bought one... and it is an expensive one. So there was a tug-of-war over the pencil case and I said that it should go to Alycia as she's going to Standard 1 first. Luckily Sherilyn did not kick up a big fuss... as there were other pressies to distract her. Sher was really tickled pink with some cute Disney hankies compressed into a heart shape, which would 'open' up once soaked in water.

The stylo-mylo pencil case has 4 buttons on the left for different functions.... one is for a built-in sharpener, one for an eraser compartment and another 2 for dunno what...

The pencil case can be opened on both sides...

The other side of the pencil case.

Chelation Therapy To Rid Your Body Of Excessive Heavy Metals

Every evening as I feed Baby C her daily dose of antibiotics, I would say a prayer. I would ask God to spare her from having to take the antibiotics for several years, that her kidney reflux would resolve spontaneously soonest possible, that she will not get another attack of Urinary Tract Infection, that she will be spared from having to go under the knife and spared from other invasive treatments and that the antibiotics will not cause her any negative side effects like mental retardation. My heart aches seeing her struggle to eat those meds. I wonder if she needs to go for a chelation (pronounced as key-la-tion) therapy to rid her body of the excess heavy metal elements and toxins resulting from having to consume so much antibiotics. The next time we see the pediatric nephrologist, I have to remember to ask her if it’s necessary for Baby C to have an oral chelation or an oral EDTA chelation.

For your information, chelation therapy helps to rejuvenate the cardiovascular system, reduce toxic lead and metal deposits and abnormal calcium deposits, reduce blood pressure and blood cholesterol, improve circulation, improve vision and hearing, improve liver function, improve skin texture and tone and much more. If you are interested in chelating your body system to restore your health, you can pop over to cardiorenew.com to read more and to purchase their range of chelation products.

Restless Baby

Baby C tends to get bored easily if she's placed on our lap and the longest she can sit still without kicking up a fuss is around 10 minutes, after which she would start to whine, scream and arch her back, signaling to us that she wants to be carried round the house or do other more entertaining activities.

When my mum placed her on the dining table last week, she went really excited, kicked her legs and wanted to walk! I think she will be another early walker, just like her sisters who both started to walk at 9 months.

Lots Of Goodies

My mil and sil from Hong Kong arrived last night. My generous sil brought home suit cases filled with pressies and goodies for everyone. As usual, Alycia and Sherilyn received the most gifts - from clothes to Hello Kitty pencil box, a Mickey Mouse clock, organic snacks, Disney cutlery, Disney souvenirs and much more. She also bought lots of mooncakes from HK and also cakes and chocolates from Hokkaido.

The 'lai yau' (milk butter flavor) mooncakes from The HK Peninsular Hotel are one of the tastiest mooncakes in HK and taste really good, though a tad sweet.

Pretty hankies from Hokkaido.

My 3 angels also received lots of pretty clothes from koo mah. Check out my other blog to read on...

Paying The Price To Have My Babies

Some women are really lucky that they don’t suffer much from pregnancy problems while some are plagued with all the classic pregnancy symptoms. I fall into the group of unlucky pregnant women for I suffered from many problems during all 3 of my pregnancies, especially during my first pregnancy. I had a sensitive uterus, bleeding gums, bad bout of morning sickness, acne outbreak on my face, rashes on my body, dry and peeling skin, varicose veins, sciatica, nose bleed, heartburn and dizziness. The varicose veins on my thighs worsened during each of my pregnancy. It was so bad during my third pregnancy that both my thighs and ankles have big, ugly patches of purplish spider veins and my legs hurt too. I couldn’t stand too long or walk too much, otherwise my thighs will be more swollen. When I could no longer stand the sight of my unsightly legs, I bought a pair of compression socks and wore them for 4 months every night before going to bed and the condition improved. Immediately after the birth of Baby C, most of the varicose veins miraculously went away.

It’s already 4 months since the birth of Baby C and my tummy still looks like a 3-month old pregnant belly. Despite me jogging and doing crunches on my fitball everyday, the stubborn belly fat ain’t going away. I am even thinking of getting some compression garments to wear on my belly to rid the bulging belly. I saw some compression garments at recoveryelements.com and I am thinking of getting either a binder or an abdominal girdle. They look good and I think the compression garment will be able to help me flatten my belly. I may even want to get a gel eye mask from this online shop to soothe my very tired and puffy eyes. I’ve only been getting about 5 hours of sleep for the past few months. Well, that’s the price I have to pay to have 3 beautiful angels and I have absolutely no regrets with it!

Water Tumblers Again

I bought water tumblers again. Believe it or not, ever since Alycia and Sherilyn could drink from a water tumbler, I have bought over 20 water tumblers for them. That's because most of the tumblers (9 out of 10 of them) would leak no matter how tight I screw the cap. The worst are the ones with straws.

Of all the brands that I have tried, I like Rubbermaid (the non-straw ones) and BROS best as the cap can be screwed tightly, which prevents water from leaking out.

The Disney Pooh Bear tumbler is for Alycia and the BROS animal cartoon one is for Sherilyn. These tumblers don't leak, can be used to store both cold and hot water, are not breakable and they are not very expensive. The Pooh Bear one only cost RM17.90 and the BROS one cost RM11.90.

I also got 2 Rubbermaid Chug bottles for myself. The one of the left can be used to put both cold and hot water. It's a buy 1 get 1 free pack and only cost RM15.90. I bought them all from Jaya Jusco.

Homemade Multi-Seeds And Grains Bread

Before my mum left, she made a loaf of multi-grain and seed bread using our Kenwood Breadmaker. She put in ground almonds, roasted green soya beans, chickpes, pumpkin seeds, pecan nuts, flaxseeds, wholemeal flour, an egg, milk powder, butter and lemon juice.

Verdict : smells and tastes very good. Very wholesome too! Goes very well with her homemade kaya.

Chelation Therapy To Restore Your Health

All of us have some metals found in our body and these metals are essential to human health. For example, iron prevents anemia and zinc is a cofactor in over 100 enzyme reactions. They usually occur at low concentrations and are known as trace metals. In high doses, they may be toxic to the body or produce deficiencies in other trace metals.

Heavy or toxic metals are trace metals with a density at least five times that of water. These include mercury, nickel, lead, arsenic, cadmium, aluminum, platinum, and copper. Heavy metals have no function in the body and can be very toxic to our body. Heavy metals are absorbed into the body via inhalation, ingestion, and skin absorption. Studies have confirmed that heavy metals can directly influence a person’s behavior by impairing mental and neurological function, influencing neurotransmitter production and utilization and altering numerous metabolic body processes. Systems in which toxic metal elements can induce impairment and dysfunction include the blood and cardiovascular, detoxification pathways (colon, liver, kidneys, skin), endocrine (hormonal), energy production pathways, enzymatic, gastrointestinal, immune, nervous (central and peripheral), reproductive and urinary.

If heavy metals enter and accumulate in body tissues at a rate faster than the body’s detoxification pathways can dispose of them, a gradual buildup of these toxins will occur. That is when chelation (pronounced as key-la-tion) therapy like oral chelation and oral EDTA chelation are needed to remove the heavy metals and toxins from the body. A friend of mine has a 3-year old son who had problems with his speech. After going through a chelation therapy, his speech as well as concentration level improved significantly.

Chelation therapy helps to rejuvenate your cardiovascular system, reduce toxic lead and metal deposits and abnormal calcium deposits, reduce blood pressure and blood cholesterol, improve circulation, improve vision and hearing, improve liver function, improve skin texture and tone and much more.

If you would like to find out more about chelation and purchase chelation products, do check out cardiorestore.com. Cardio Restore offers a risk free 100% satisfaction guarantee to its customers.

Getting Some Peaceful And Quiet Time... In The Wee Hours Of The Morning

I woke up to the words "mummy, my pants are wet!" at 5am today. Alycia had peed in her pants! After washing her up and changing her, I couldn't go back to sleep. So what else? Of course I went downstairs to my PC and started to check for offers and checked my email. Managed to grabbed some offers and started to work on them. I could hardly find the time and peace of mind to blog during the day when my 3 rascals are awake, so the best time for me to do so is in the wee hours of the morning. It's quiet and I feel so refreshed, well maybe not that refreshed as I am still groggy being just up from bed, but at least I can think straight without 2 attention-seeking toddlers and a wailing baby distracting me.

New Header

Notice my new header? Credit must go to this very nice, young, pretty and talented mummy. Thanks Leena for all the time and effort you put in to create this beautiful header with the pic of my 3 angels!

Smiling Faces Of Baby C

Each time I see Baby C smile, my heart melts. I thank God for those smiles and laughters that can really brighten up my day. When I give Baby C loud smooches on her face and neck or play with her, she would give me loud giggles... and I can never get enough of those giggles...

Baby C giggling here as I made farting sounds (with my lips of course!) to amuse her..... and those 'poot poot poot' farting sounds never fail to make her giggle.

Alycia Can Read!

Yes she can and I am so proud of my baby. Click here to read on...

Granny And Baby C

Granny singing to Baby C.

Each morning after Alycia and Sherilyn have gone off to the kindy, granny will have the time to play with Baby C whilst mummy takes her shower after her morning jog and works on the computer. Today granny will be going back to Ipoh. Last night Alycia said this to granny :

Alycia - granny, I am so sad.....

Granny - why are you so sad ?

Alycia - because you are going back to Ipoh tomorrow....

Granny and mummy were very touched and filled with emotion when we heard those words. Last night, granny read to the gals and chit chatted with them until almost midnight. Even Baby C joined in the fun.... all 4 of them in the gals' bedroom and did not sleep until almost midnight. This morning, Sherilyn had a melt-down and refused to go to school. She kicked up a big fuss over everything and cried till she puked. We wonder if it's because Granny's going back to Ipoh.

Kids can forget a person pretty easily.... out of sight, out of mind. Hopefully Alycia and Sherilyn will not cry when granny goes back today. Anyway, mah mah and koo mah from Hong Kong will arrive tomorrow and the gals will have another 2 persons to stick to.

Baby C Loves Blowing Bubbles With Her Saliva

Baby C's latest favorite past time, apart from feasting on her fists is to blow bubbles with her saliva. When she does it, she will give me that cheeky look, powerful kick from her legs and mischievous shriek... and when I carry her, my shoulders will be all soppy with her saliva, yucky!!

A Room Full Of Disposable Diapers

When Drypers was having a promotion at Jaya Jusco recently (I think sold at RM30.90 per pack), my mil and hubby bought 2 packs each of M size diapers for Baby C. That would have cost us a savings of around RM20 since the normal price is around RM35 each pack.

Now, the diapers are all stocked up in our laundry room / store room. Thankfully our house is big enough to keep stock of diapers. When we move to our new condo next month, I guess I will have to keep these under the bed!

Our friend who has boxes of free Pampers gave us a box full of L size Pampers. But I hate the orange color packaging Pampers. It's one of the lousiest diapers around as it leaks super easily and is flimsy. Since they are given free, why not? Just use them during the day.

Homecooked Food

Whenever my mil is around, she normally does the cooking and I don't have to lift a finger.... and I am lucky as cooking takes up a lot of time, energy and sweat. Now that she's away, I have to plan the cooking, which has to be simple dishes and do the cooking myself as my maid can't cook despite teaching her repeatedly and I can't be away from Baby C for too long.

I cooked these yesterday :

Stir-fried 'kwai tau miu' or baby french beans with garlic.

Stir-fried choy sum with garlic.

And bak kut teh with 2 hard boiled eggs, dried mushrooms, foo choke (dried soy bean sheets), dried bamboo fungus and RM20 worth of pork ribs. I thought of cooking a big pot and deep freezing half a portion but everything was polished off the same night! The bak kut teh was a big hit with everyone. Even my fussy caterer hubby who had sore throat ate it!

Also cooked a big pot of pork ribs and fish slice congee for hubby. Mr Fussy Pot didn't complain and polished off the pot of congee too.... and I was one happy housewife! Nothing makes me happier than everyone enjoying and finishing what I've cooked without any fuss and complaints :)

A Cruise Vacation

My parents will be celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary in a couple of months time. I wonder how they can ‘survive’ being together for so long. I hope the hubs and I can weather the storm and go through thick and thin for this long too and even longer. I think I should get my parents a small gift in celebration of this joyous occasion which really deserves to be celebrated. If I had the money, I would love to treat them to some
cruises getaway and I am very sure they would love to go on a cruise. Who wouldn’t like a cruise vacation right? My dream is to go on an Alaskan cruise!

My Favorite Bakery

That's my favorite bakery. I managed to take a pot-shot of the breads and cakes that were just out from the oven on Sunday before I was told that I can't take pix in the bakery. For this, I will not divulge the name of this bakery.

All my favorite cakes and breads - the cheese cake and mini chiffon cakes are really tasty.

The green loaves on the shelf are made of wolfberries (kei chee) and sunflower seeds, one of my favorites.

This bakery is really thwarting my diet plan as hubby and I will surely visit this bakery at least twice a week and spend quite an amount on my favorite multi-grain loaves, wolfberry loaves, cranberry cream cheese buns, cheese cakes, banana pudding, green tea cakes and chiffon cakes, walnut wholemeal bread, red bean and coffee bread, ham and cheese loaves, sausages rolls (Aly and Sher's all-time favorite) and much more. How am I going to shed off those extra pounds from my baby belly you tell me, sigh.....

After visiting the bakery, we headed to the restaurant for dim sum. Baby C refused to sit on her pram and wanted to be carried whilst I ate. Fortunately, I managed to rock her to sleep and I quickly finished off my meal before she woke up. Her forty winks is truly a forty-minute shut eye and sometimes even shorter and it is during this forty minutes that I have to eat and work speedily, swallowing my food without chewing them properly most of the time :(
