My Maid Drank My Daughter's Milk!

My mum caught my maid drinking Sherilyn's unfinished milk directly from her milk bottle last night. This maid is quite alright in terms of housework but there are still many things that she does that make me feel really uncomfortable and dubious about her character. Now I am beginning to wonder if she's been helping herself to my kids' milk powder coz the milk powder finishes off really fast.

Aiya maybe she thinks it's waste and since she's going to wash the bottle, might as well just drink it. Maybe just tell her la, dont have to be so "cham", u'll get her some milk powder if she likes milk so she won't have to resort to finishing unfinished stuff.

I say give her the benefit of the doubt!

(from your maid-champion friend hehe)

i agree with Jenn.. and if she continues.. then that is another question altogether.

Ya I echo Jenn's suggestion. As long as they dont throw & waste food. Do see what beverage she likes & buy it for her. I had one maid who said she wanted to finish the brocolli we had cooked & I said ok. But then we saw part of the brocolli was thrown away. That made me so angry. We mustnt be so petty with food as they need the energy for them to perform their job from morning till night. I try to buy for my maid her fav food like tempe, kueh teow, etc.

Jenn and Sheela.... I do buy beverages for my maid -- 3-in-1 instant coffee, soya bean and sometimes Milo. She also eats whatever bread we eat which are not regular the Gardenia bread but breads from bakeries. Whatever we eat on the dining table, she eats too but this maid of mine is quite 'kwai shee' (does things sneakily) like hiding the barli water that she boiled for my gals inside the cabinet, threw away an egg that she took w/o asking me when I went into the kitchen, hitting and pinching my 2 older gals when I wasn't looking, washing dirty cloth used to wipe the dining table together with with my baby's clothes and much more. All these and more made me feel suspicious of her character.

Aiya! so stressful and unhealthy relationship between employer and employee. Get a new maid, HFM. Obviously you two so very 'mmm ngum kee'. Sooner or later, you will both despise each other and the relationship turn toxic. Best thing for everyone concerned is you look for a 'better' maid to suit your personality and she get matched with an employer who doesn't mind these 'faults' of hers.

Ya no point being suspicious & getting stressed out. Better get ur maid changed (yes u'll have to pay the agent once again).
