First Term School Holidays Cum Movement Control Order Home Quarantine

This school holidays cum 2 weeks Movement Control Order home quarantine, our baking queen has been working hard in the kitchen, concocting cake recipes. Two days ago she whipped up a Tiramisu cake, which tasted so eye-rollingly delish that I had to give it a 9/10 rating.  Today she made some refreshing mini lemon sponge cakes decked with fresh strawberries and fresh strawberries cream and frosting.

Easy Tiramisu
This slice of decadent Tiramisu is made using store bought vanilla chiffon cake. She then soaked the chiffon cake with homemade coffee syrup and made a homemade mascarpone (cream and lemon juice). The dusting on the Tiramisu is from grated bitter chocolate and coffee powder.  This Tiramisu tastes even better than the ones we'd tasted from high end cafes! Sherilyn says that with a wee bit more improvement on it, she is ready to churn out these babies for sale!

One spoonful and I knew that this Tiramisu recipe is a keeper!

Zesty Lemon Sponge Cake With Strawberries
The cake base is homemade lemon sponge cake, which she baked yesterday. Today she made the frosting and dehydrated some caramelized lemon slices. The dusty pink colored frosting is cream mixed with homemade strawberry syrup (made yesterday).  This velvety soft cake, though with frosting and cream, is light and not cloy, mildly sweetened and such a hearty temptation with juicy strawberry slices!

Sherilyn has put in 100% effort and love into these cakes. All her cakes are sugar reduced, per my request. My condition to buying the cake ingredients for her - make her bakes diabetic-friendly.  She's been pestering me to help her sell these cakes but I am just wondering whether anyone would want to buy them.  Would you buy them? ðŸ˜¬
