Crazy Blog Marathon

The last 2 days have been crazy for me as I've been going on a blog marathon. Today, I've written 13 posts, of which 7 were paid posts and 6 non-paid posts. I still have a few more uncompleted assignments. This is really crazy. I've got less than 5 hours sleep for 3 straight days. I was still ok the whole of today but now as I'm typing this post at 10:15pm, my head is spinning and my eye lids are drooping. I better get some sleep and not wake up at ungodly hours again tonight just to grab some offers. I'll just put the gals to sleep now, sorry no bedtime stories, mummy is too tired (i've already read them a few books and also let them rule for 1/2 hr on the computer today) and I'll sleep thru the night and wake up early tomorrow morning feeling fresh to start work before working out on my trampoline and then head for church. Good night everyone. No OT tonight!

Hard To Get Them Nap

Lately, I've been having a hard time getting Alycia and Sherilyn to nap in the afternoon. They used to take their afternoon nap at 2:30pm, latest by 3pm but now, they don't even appear worn out or sleepy at 4pm or 5pm. I thought they no longer require their daytime naps but I was wrong coz by 6pm, they would go super cranky if they don't get their dose of daytime nap. Now, I have to resort to holding a cane to threaten them to take their nap each day. I hate to do this but that's the only way to get them to sleep. Last night, the same thing happened. I was so frazzled and sleepy at around 11ish pm but the gals' batteries seem to be still full to the brim. So again I brought out the cane and they quickly ran back to bed and dozed off after much fuss. I fell asleep clutching to the cane and woke up at 12:30am to ease myself, then crept downstairs to do some work on the computer and went back to bed an hour later. It's really tough being a WFHM.

Working Out On My Trampoline

My knees have been hurting me lately as I've been jogging uphill a lot these days. Jogging uphill is a strenuous exercise and it burns up more calories. I feel more worked out and sweat more when I jog uphill. Sometimes when I don't get enough sleep, it makes me breathless too. I decided today that I should give my knees a rest, so I worked out by jumping and dancing on my trampoline instead as trampoline takes your body pressure off your leg. If you want to find a good way of working out and not hurt your legs too much, get a trampoline. It's inexpensive, fun and you get to stay in shape. Oh, I also like to jump on the trampoline with my gals, they love it.

Eczema Again

Alycia's eczema has been dormant for months but for the last 1 week, it flared up again. This is the worst eczema outbreak. Her face is covered with rough rashes and the skin under her eyes looks red and rough. The redness under her eyes made her look so sick. There are also patches of red rashes on her palm, under her nostrils, above her lips, on her neck and patches of what look like bruises as a result of excessive scratching on her arms, buttocks and behind her thighs. She has not been eating anything new so I can't pinpoint what is causing the eczema. It could be due to the hot weather lately coz she tends to have rashes whenever it's hot and when she sweats profusely.

Anyway, I have been boiling a concoction of purple flower water with brown sugar for her and it seems to help in reducing the rashes. I shall blog about the healing properties of this purple flower soon.

Jigsaw Puzzle

Alycia and Sherilyn love jigsaw puzzles. Alycia is quite good with them and can easily fix a 30-piece jigsaw puzzle in under 10 minutes. I had always thought that Alycia lacks attention span but when it comes to jigsaw puzzles, she can spend close to 1 hour quietly and intently fixing the puzzle. So whenever I need to get some work done, I'll just let her play with her puzzles and get her to teach Sherilyn the tricks to fixing a jigsaw puzzle. I intend to get her some new jigsaw puzzles with more pieces, probably a 100-piece one so that she will spend longer time fixing them and I get longer time to do my work!

PayPal Money Finally Withdrawn

Yay! Today, i finally transferred my 2nd batch of $$ in my PayPal account into my elder brother's account in Singapore. My brother will then cash out the money for me and pass it to me next month when we meet up in Ipoh. As for my 1st batch of $$, it's still in my 1st PayPal account and I'll transfer it to my sil's US bank account later. Pretty troublesome.... don't know when PayPal will ever solve the glitch.

Tag : If I Have $1 million

Got tagged by Montessorimum, a cool mom to 2 beautiful kids and another one on the way.

I know it's very unlikely i'll ever have this much money. No, i don't buy lottery and i don't invest in shares, so if i EVER have $1 million, this is how i'd spend them :

1) Keep aside 30% for my gals' future education
2) Invest 10% in shares
3) Put 40% in my FD account. This will be for my retirement days and rainy days.
4) Spend 10% on family members, both my side and DH's side. I'll bring the whole jing gang for an all-expenses fully paid overseas vacation.
5) 5% goes to charity
6) 5% goes to my own shopping spree

Now I'd like to hear from these 5 blogging pals of mine on how they'd daydream spending the $1million :

1) Mommy to Chumsy
2) Angeleyes (Rambling Moo)

3) Sweetpea (Bubba Stuff)
4) The New Parent
5) Scibbles For My Angels

Green Tea cookies

I am a great fan of green tea. I love to eat anything that has green tea in it. I especially love macha or green tea ice-cream. I even add green tea powder into my home-made bread. I recently bought this brand of green tea cookies made in Taiwan from Jaya Jusco. Some of the ingredients in this green tea cookies are green tea powder, sesame seeds, cashew nuts, peanuts, pumpkin seeds and soya lecithin. Quite tasty and costs RM7+ per pack.

Oh, this is not a sponsored post :)

I Am So Happy My PPP Application Is Approved

I am just so happy that my PPP applicatin is finally approved. I've waited for 3 months with envy whenever I see my fellow blogger friends posting a PPP opps. Finally my application is approved and I can now make my foray into PPP. Yay!

So Much For Just 1 Week

When my hubby does grocery shopping or marketing, he loves buying in bulk. Instead of buying 5 oranges for 1 week, he'd normally buy 20 oranges. This is how much he bought from the pasar malam several days ago. He does our marketing once a week at the pasar malam but with this much fruits and vegetables that he had bought, they can last us for 2 weeks.

My PPP Application Is Approved!

Woohooo….. it’s 2:30am now and I’m so happy I can’t sleep. My PPP application is finally approved though my blog is a few days shy of turning 3 months old. This is officially my maiden post for PPP.

So why did I sign up for Pay Per Post (PPP)? Writing paid posts for PPP is like the must-have thing for most bloggers. Most professional bloggers I notice write for PPP. Unlike other review companies, PPP has many opportunities and the payout ranges from a minimum of USD5 to a few hundred US Dollars. Thought this may not be a lot of money to some people, but earning a few hundred US Dollars a month means a lot to me. Since quitting my job 1.5 years back, I’ve lost my financial freedom. So getting a part-time job like writing reviews whilst doing something that I have passion in like writing and blogging is definitely a dream come true for me.

Since I started blogging 3 months back, my life has never been the same again. Before I started blogging, life is just about my 2 gals. Now, everything that I do revolves around blogging and paid posts. Blogging and writing paid posts are really addictive and infectious. I’ve also made so many wonderful friends from blogging.

If you’ve not heard about PPP yet, what are you waiting for? Come and join PPP today and get paid to blog whilst you indulge in your hobby.

Funny Clown

A couple of days ago daddy brought the gals out for brunch with the maid whilst I stayed at home to complete some assignments. A friend of daddy's also joined them for brunch at the coffee shop. Daddy's friend has a tattoo on his arm and has moustache too. When daddy asked Sherilyn to greet his friend by calling "uncle", guess what Sherilyn said "halor.... funny clown!" as she giggled. Everyone laughed. Sherilyn is a real joker.

MSG and Preservative-Free Soya sauce and Oyster Sauce

Some mommies have e-mailed me to ask me what brand of preservative-free and MSG-free oyster sauce and soya sauce I use.

For oyster sauce, I buy the brand Sin Tai Hing. So far, that's the only brand I know of that's preservative and MSG-free.

For soya sauce, I use either Kikkoman naturally brewed soya sauce or organic soya sauce.

Both sauces need refrigeration after opening.

I Hate Messy Beds

One of the many nonsense that I have to tolerate after my 2 angels came along is messy beds. I've always hated messy and dirty beds. Before I had kids, I did not like anyone, apart from DH, siting on my bed. My bedroom, especially my bed is my paradise and I'd like it to be clean, neat, smell nice and tidy all the time. But after the gals came along, I'd slowly but surely changed. My tolerance to dirt and mess has improved. Every night, my bed would be messed up with toys, books, nappies, blankies, pillows and pillow and bolster case would be removed, the list goes on. Sometimes, I'd have to sleep on a pee and vomit drenched mattress or pillow. It's amazing how motherhood has changed me, the fussy pot!

What's It With The Nappies?

I don't know what's it with the nappies that Alycia and Sherilyn would go crazy over them. The white cloth nappies are one of their favourite 'toys' and they can think of all sorts of ways to play with the nappies from wrapping their soft toys with it like a baby, wiping the floor and table with it, drapping it round their shoulders like supergirl and today, Alycia draped it round her head and pretended to be 'white riding hood'. When I tried to pull the nappy off her head before she went for her afternoon nap, she refused to let me touch it and cried for a while as I had untied and messed up the hood. So I had to drap the nappy back and secure it tightly to pacify her before quietly removing it when she's soundly asleep. Siau or not you say?

Bliss and Peace

As I am typing this post, I am typing it peacefully and blissfully as DH has brought the gals out for fish head noodles with my maid. Then, DH will bring them to the chinese medicine hall to buy a few boxes of Enfagrow A+ and later to the cake house to buy their favorite chiffon cake. I have around 1 hour to quickly finish up the remaining offers I have. The house is so quiet without the gals, no screaming, no whining and I get to rest my throat.

All Sorts Of Funny Antics

Sherilyn is always full of antics and surprises. Last night, she was staring at herself at the full-length mirror in our room and made all sorts of funny faces. Then, she pulled the skin underneath her eyes and to her horror, she saw 'blood'. She then ran to me and said "mummy, my eyes got blood". I then told her that it's normal and assured her that it's ok. She accepted my reassurance happily and then continued pulling the skin beneath her eyes and growled "whhhoorrrrr, whhhoorrrr, whhhoorrr......" as she pretended to be a monster.

Healthy Snack - Cherry Tomatoes

Another favourite snacks for me and my 2 lil' ones, cherry tomatoes. Alycia loves them a lot. I normally try to buy organic ones but if I can't find them, I'll get regular ones. It's also a great food for dieters as tomatoes have low GI (Glycemix Index) and rich in Vitamins and anti-oxidants.

I also love to use ripe tomatoes (blended into a paste) for cooking fish and minced chicken meat for the gals. Taste really good and is wholesome too.
