When we were at the Pavillion food court last Wednesday, it was crowded with people, mostly working executives. Almost every stall was packed with people, including this cake house, Lavender Cake House. Hubby bought a layer cake and 2 cups of puddings.
This layered cake was very tasty and rich and not too sweet. All of us savored the cake till the very last bite in 2 days.
The Japanese pudding (red cup) looked and tasted like jelly and one of the ingredients used to make the jelly caused the pudding to taste wierd. None of us liked it and it ended up in the bin. What a waste as it's not cheap.
The mango pudding (green cup) was really rich and tasty - lots of fresh mango bits and milk custard but the gals didn't like it and I dared not eat too much cold stuff with milk. Also ended up in the bin 2 days later. If I wasn't preggers, I would have finished it all by myself.
The next time we go to this bakery, we will definitely buy the layered cake again and perhaps try other cakes. There's a good choice of cakes and pastries, all of which looked really tempting.

Their egg tarts are yummy ;)
it's look delicious..
The layer cake looks moist and nice but the two deserts are two colourful. Must have contained a lot of food dye in it or is it the cup?
Barb... oh yeah, hubby bought the egg tart too and Sherilyn loved it.
Mumsgather... no lah, no color lah, it's the cup that's colored, not the jelly. I don't like the idea of my kids eating colored food.
so sayang ah!your pudding..I like layer cake too.yummy!
